Unlike on floor, where the addition of a half turn doesn’t change the value of a turning element, gymnasts can get more value for the addition of half turns on beam. So while the full turn is an A (0.1), the 1.5 turn is a B (0.2).
The 1.5 turn, however, is quite rare because B value is still not really useful enough to count on its own, and if one were to try to use a lower-value turn for connection bonus, that’s what the regular full turn is for. There’s not much point to a 1.5 turn unless you’re so Dutch you just can’t help yourself.
