About
Depending on the connection value rules of the particular era, the front layout on floor is either relatively common or excessively common.

In 2025, the code of points was amended so that a direct connection of D + B acrobatic elements on floor received 0.2 in connection bonus instead of 0.1, moving the B-valued front layout back into the excessively common category.

What makes it particularly prevalent is its maneuverability, able to be employed just as easily as the opening element in a combination (i.e., front layout + front 2/1) or as the final element in a combination (i.e., back 2.5 + front layout) both for equivalent bonus.
