A lone single L turn is quite uncommon on floor for the same reason as the double turn: it’s just not worth enough to bother doing it or risk the deductions. Most gymnasts who aren’t attempting D (0.4) turns will simply ignore the concept of turns altogether.
Those who do perform the L turn are doing it following a more difficult turn valued at D (or greater) in order to get a tenth of connection bonus.
Also…that’s not what an L looks like. You would have to be sitting down to be an L.
