Switch side is the colloquial name for a switch leap with 1/4 turn to a straddle position, with the switch side 1/2 adding an extra half turn to that. So, 3/4 twists in total, with the straddle position achieved after the first 1/4 twist, and then a 1/2 turn on the way down.
This one is more common in NCAA gymnastics than in elite gymnastics as its D (0.4) value in NCAA (competed to C in elite) makes it very useful for bonus purposes.
