Here to live blog Oklahoma and TWU because it wasn’t important enough to take the time in the middle of the day to watch, but you still kind of want to know what happened. I get you.

It’s also worth keeping an eye on New Hampshire’s score since UNH is one of the six remaining bubble teams fighting for the final three spots for regionals, along with Central Michigan, Iowa, Arizona, Utah State, and North Carolina. It will be possible for New Hampshire to get off that bubble and clinch a spot with a big score today.

This will also be my annual opportunity to express how much I hate that “woman” is singular in Texas Woman’s University. Why is it one woman’s university. Like…share, lady.

OU is still sans Jackson today. The bars lineup will be the same as it was at Alabama on Friday.

ROTATION 1

H Vincent – VT – Yurchenko layout, some pike, bounce back into Louisiana.

Webb – UB – small arch in first handstand – strong Pak – toe Shap 1/2, good legs together – toe 1/2 to double front, small shuffle back.

I’ll let you know what I’m seeing in the handstand department but the camera angle is in the ceiling. So it might be weird.

Alderman – VT – Yfull, a bounce off to the side, keeps it on the mat

Showers – UB – good Shush – giant 1/2 to bail, good vertical, a little loose back? – hs look fine – FTDT with hop back.

Gentry – VT – better height and layout position on her full, comes in a little locked as she pikes at the end with a stagger forward

Catour – UB – we’re only shown the dismount, stuck DLO

Moredock – VT – great distance on her Yfull, solid layout position, bounce back

Dowell – UB – Ray, excellent – toe on to bail – short final hs – DLO, small step back

Lazarus – VT – also nice distance on her full, some pike down at the end and a bounce back

Lehrmann – UB – 1/2 turn to Jaeger, strong – toe on to bail, clean – FTDT, stuck. Her usual. Very good.

9.975. Isn’t this where she got her 10 last year? She has the technique to go through a routine with no deductions. I don’t feel like the angle we have on this one is good enough to make a categorical proclamation about 10ishness. As I am wont to do.

Jones – VT – Y1/2, tries to sell the stick but no, a lunge forward. Very clean in the air.

Nichols – UB – Church – Pak to toe on to toe Shap, very strong – DLO stuck with that little stagger. Another great one. 9.950.

DeGouveia is doing exhibition on bars? I didn’t even know that was an option. Piked jaeger, good, Pak, legs right together – the legs go a little on her 1/2 turn on low and the giant full into double tuck dismount, just a little too loose in the body positions to get a strong score, but a solid hit. That’s so Oklahoma to just be like, “Oh yeah this too.”

Marks also getting an exhibition in. Toe on to bail, some hip angle there – Nice cast handstand to tkatchev – FTDT with a step. Another possible choice for next season with some continued development

After 1: Oklahoma 49.500, TWU 48.875

Oklahoma started just OK on bars, not getting the sticks and with a couple handstand issues, but the last two were of the level they would expect to bring the score back up. TWU has four vaults of the level of a DI team that could get real-world 9.7s, just needed that fifth vault to get a little more competitive this year.

Schoepfer and Catour will be vaulting today. Dowell is in the fifth spot.So you can relax.

ROTATION 2

Marks – VT – nice high full, stuck, one of her best ones. Strong. Just a little legs at the end.

Verseman – UB – Kind of hilarious tkatchev fall. It was super big just no where close so she just floated away like a nanny in Mary Poppins. Goes again, finishes with a DLO, whipped but stuck.

Lehrmann – VT – nearly sticks her full, a little bounce in place and then a lean to try to hold it without another hop.

Lazarus – UB – bail with some legs to toe shoot – crotchev but caught it – giant full to double pike with lunge back

Catour – VT – hop back on full, not quite a big and clean as the others that have been making the lineup, but fairly similar.

Jones – UB – giant full to gienger, nice legs together, connected to overshoot – some short hs – legs on giant full into stuck double tuck

Schoepfer – VT – a full (not the 1.5 she had trained in preseason) with a bounce back, landings are getting rougher as we get through the lineup.

Kelly – UB – 1/2 turn to piked jaeger to overshoot, a couple moments of feet but she has the best line so far – short handstand – DLO with hop in place. Good.

Dowell – VT – 1.5 with a hop forward. Of course she hops forward on the time when she’s in the fifth spot and can get a bigger score. Still goes 9.925, what she usually gets in the third spot.

In general, when Jackson is back (we hope she’s just resting?) and they want to do the “putting up a 1.5 third” thing, I’d favor Jackson in that role more than Dowell because Jackson is less likely to stick. But she still will get a good number, probably 9.900 even with a lunge forward, which can still build up the scores for the following vaults that might be landed with more control but isn’t necessarily giving away a 10.

H Vincent – UB – toe on with an arch in handstand but holds it – tkatchev, crazy legs but caught – another handstand arch that has to be pulled back – FTDT with hop to the side

Nichols – VT – sticks her 1.5, has to kind of lean forward to hold her momentum as she holds the stick this time, but otherwise her normal great. 9.975.

Northrop – UB – clear hip to gienger to overshoot, pretty clean – most legs-together of their routines – sticks DLO. Nice one.

After 2: Oklahoma 98.950, TWU 97.600

A B+ Oklahoma vault lineup that got a B+ vault score pretty much. Used some fulls that they won’t use later, though I expected a little bit more of that in this meet so far.

New Hampshire is at 98.000 (so 196.000 pace) after two, which was the plan.

ROTATION 3

Lazarus – BB – bhs loso series, fall – L turn but may not get credit with a low leg position – beat jump to split jump 1/1 – hitch kick to switch side – gainer full, hop back

Showers – FX – double pike, nice and high, maybe a little slide – front full to front lay, good power and punch – switch to ferrari, covers being a little short landing that Ferrari with some dance – 1/2 to front full, crossover dance out but overall solid landing control.

Alderman – BB – switch – loso with check – side aerial with leg up – straddle jump full, fall – bhs loso series, second fall – gainer full, step back

Draper – FX – double pike with pretty large bounce back, just does keep it in bounds – front full to front lay with a lunge out – switch 1/2 to popa, positions look good – 1/2 to rudi, small slide

H Vincent – BB – bhs loso series, large break but stays on – switch side with a lean check – full turn – beat jump to straddle full – 2/1 with slide back, hit

Dowell – FX – double front to stag, solid – 1.5 to layout to the coal-walk dance out that we’ve come to accept – split leap 1/1 to popa, the place where she’s most likely to get deductions on floor – front lay to front full, nailed landing. 9.950.

Kelly – BB – Literally just a shot of a photographer instead of seeing this routine. Bang-up operation here.

Schoepfer – FX – double tuck, a little bounce – 1.5 to layout, some leg separation, controlled – switch ring to L hop full – double pike, a little slide. 9.875 is a little high. She’s been getting some high scores that she probably wouldn’t get in post.

Moredock – BB – bhs loso, hit – switch to switch side, will get hit for not having split position, we’ll see if she gets element credit – kickover to sitting on the beam (intentional) – 2/1 with hop back. 9.850. Guys. I mean I know we’re supposed to be charitable because it’s a little team, but you guys…

Webb – FX – front 2/1 with crossover dance out – back 1.5 to front full with a lunge forward – split leap 1/1 to split jump 1/1 – rudi, solid

Jones – BB – round off back pike, very solid – switch and tuck jump full, back leg on switch – kickover front to beat, good – 1.5 with hop forward

Nichols – FX – Nichols doing floor today just because I said she would get rested this weekend. It’s all about me. Double tuck mount (that counts as resting I guess), a little slide maybe? – front full to front layout stepout – good leaps as usual – double pike, solid final pass.

Oh. Maggie got a 10 on floor. I wasn’t even watching for it because it was just like…her basic routine? Her resting routine? Because Maggie?

After 3: Oklahoma 148.600, TWU 145.900

So not much incentive for Maggie to do the pike full in, huh?

I’m also definitely here for the West Virginia twitter account shading the judges by pointing out the huge judging splits on most routines at that meet.

ROTATION 4

Catour – BB – bhs loso, pretty solid – cat leap to switch side, nice, secure – cat leap to aerial, very crisp – gainer tuck full, stuck. Good one.

Versemann – FX – double pike, somewhat deep with a bounce to the side – switch side to popa, short on the popa – front lay to front full with lunge out right into the corner – wolf jump full to popa, bouncy aroundy –

Showers – BB – bhs loso with a little lean correction landing it – switch to straight jump full to swingdown, no trouble – kickover front to beat – gainer full, somewhat deep but leans to hold the stick

Parkin – FX – double pike, chest down but secure – back 1.5, huge stumble forward on landing – switch side to popa, similar to Versemann – front lay to 1/2, super deep as her legs kind of died in the landing but she covered it with a little half turn

Lehrmann – BB – full turn, smooth – aerial, slightly off with an arm wave – cat leap to switch side with a small lean – bhs loso, no trouble – switch to swingdown, nice – gainer full, slide back. A little off in that one but fine.

Peterson – FX – rudi with a slide back – switch 1/2 to wolf jump 1.5, kind of got it around – front lay to 1/2, secure, a little flat – can’t pull out the front full on her final pass and falls

Brown – BB – aerial to two back handsprings this time, connected out of the aerial though so she’ll have the aerial to bhs – straddle 3/4 is fine – full turn – sissone to gainer full, stuck.

Alderman – FX – double pike, bounce back but higher than passes earlier in the lineup – punch front full to front tuck, sits it down, second fall in the rotation – just a front lay as final pass.

Woodard – BB – was not in the original posts lineup – full turn – kickover to back handspring, very secure, maybe lost her shape at the end of the kickover? – switch to split to beat, a little check after switch but kept the combination mostly going – side aerial to full, stuck.

Moredock – FX – double pike, controlled step back, good height – double tuck, also well controlled, chest up – 1.5 to layout with a bit of a dance out. High level routine.

Nichols – BB – aerial to split jump, good – bhs loso series, smooth – full turn – switch with a check, which will take away the 10 – will redo , switch to split, good – 1.5, stuck. Almost great if not for the switch leap error.

Jones – FX – double tuck, controlled – double tuck, chest down, controlled step – 1.5 to layout with a dance out.

UNH goes 195.700, which is enough to go ahead of Central Michigan for the week and into 34th. Arizona drops to 37th.
