  1. I just really enjoy MMG. I think she sometimes gets over-shadowed by Skinner but she is a pretty amazing athlete in her own right.

    1. I think MMG will go down as one of the most underrated gymnasts in Utah history. She’s a vastly undervalued asset to the team.

  2. I think kyla’s bars were the only real 10. Her vault, lexie, and sarah were 9.95 at best.

    1. I agree with you. Kyla’s vault has a deep-ish squat, Sarah had a slight lean after her acro series and Lexie’s dismount was heavily piked in the first salto. 9.95 or 9.925 would have been more accurate.

  3. Ugh. Of course Sarah gets a 10 on a routine that was clearly not perfect. There have been so very many other times the judges should have awarded her that distinction that it is maddening.

    1. I think that was the third best beam routine of the meet behind Campbell and Vega but compared to what other routines scored those three should have been through the roof.

  4. Wow, Khazia Hislop is on fire this year! I hope she makes it to nationals.

  5. Well, this is a week that none of the Skinner fans should complain about her being underscored 🙄 Where’s all the people who scream about Ohashi sliding on her first pass? Do you want to scream about Skinner’s first pass landing maybe? One judge gave that a 10.

      1. It really saddens me that comments denegrate to this level. The comments regarding Miss Skinner this season have predominantly leaned in the direction that “compared to other non perfect routines that received the score of 10” she has been under scored. Some said that if those routines got the big scores so should she. Utah has for the most part flown under the radar this season as the majority of coverage has been for Oklahoma UCLA Florida and LSU. Georgia coverage has been reasonable but Utah has received minimal coverage. Skinner is still taking hits. Reasonable fans know that 10’s have been handed out way too often. Some definitely deserved but most were not. Mykayla’s routines (some not all) were equal And occasionally better than the 10 routines. Particularly vault. To out of the blue bash her as the above “contributor “ did exhibits a lack of fairness and class. Maybe their team was slighted and they felt the need to lash out still inappropriate. It’s time to leave Mykayla Skinner alone in the blogs and recognize her improvement and leadership with the Utes. To another of the commentators, MMG is not under valued. Read the comments from the team and coaches. She is the “rock” in Red Rocks. Don’t bash me. Even I know that was cornet beyond words but “Mrs. MMG”. You will be sorely missed next year.

  6. Can we just celebrate the athletes and stop with name calling among fans of all sides? It is fine to critique a score objectively, but let’s keep the focus on how great the athletes are rather than complaining about any team’s fans.

  7. For me, the thing about Kyla’s vaults is that she gets repulsion before she starts her twisting so much better than almost all the others. I’m more okay with her getting the 10s with her landing position when she’s so much better in the start of the flight and other vaults which get rewarded twist early. IMO, block doesn’t make up enough of the vault scoring.
