The dedicated event feeds and four-event quad windows are ESPN3 coverage (for which access is done through ISPs), so if you’ve been able to watch those MAC home meets on ESPN3 in the past, you’ll be able to watch the good stuff here.

Emma McLean suffered a injury in practice and won’t compete for Michigan this weekend, as per the MU twitter.
This is going to make Michigan’s task of upsetting LSU or Utah a lot more difficult.
If theres a quad screen, does that mean that routines aren’t gonna be one a time? I was hoping it would be in that format so i could watch each routine when the finals are illegally posted on youtube and judge myself for comparison.
So my parents just downgraded their cable package, which means I am not able to use their cable login info to watch ESPN. I think I am going to try the free 7-day trial for Hulu live…it seems like that will allow me to watch ESPN live. Has anyone done this and can confirm that it will work? Thanks! Do we know which teams the different individual qualifiers are rotating with?
NOOOO, not the quad screen again. I thought the point of just having 4 teams was for tv so that all teams could be on the floor and then one gymnast could compete at a time?
It was because the 4 team format was quicker and events would be more broadcast friendly without byes. Part of the attraction for TV was a supposedly shorter meet. If everyone goes one at a time it would actually be a longer meet.
It was fine with the pac12 championships. I would’ve wanted to see ucla, lsu and utah individually
I also would prefer one at a time like the Pac12s. Some audience members of the recent Ann Arbor Regional said they had previously enjoyed attending one at a time dual meets, but they did not enjoy the simultaneous quad meet circus as much.
I was recently watching last year’s Super Six replay, and the ‘main’ ESPN coverage did not even show UCLA’s Kocian’s fall on balance beam. Took out a lot of the drama of UCLA’s comeback. I would expect that this year’s ‘main’ coverage similarly will not show/cover some critical routines due to four routines happening at once.
I also recall that last year’s coverage of the individual title standings (beam leader/champion, etc) was rather sparse. However, many hard-core NCAA gym fans seem to be fine with the individual titles being de-emphasized. The NCAA already stopped having dedicated individual apparatus competition finals, so perhaps eliminating the individual titles altogether could be next.
I certainly don’t like having the morning session scores and the afternoon session scores compared to determine individual titles. If that is legit to score across sessions, then they may as well similarly determine the final four teams from the top four team scores ACROSS BOTH SESSIONS.

Agreed!! I get why they want to have each session more like a ‘playoff’ – it is not tv/audience friendly for the first session to finish and then have to wait until the end of the second to know who advances. But it’s not fair to have the team competition structured that way, yet the individual titles the other way.
Preparing to set up 5 TV’s! Are the commentators the same on the live feed as the ones on the cable feed? I heard there will be commentators on all events. I am not sure how I will work this out if that is the case.
