I’d like to see Cal get up there. Their current sophomore group is super strong and next year’s recruits are also promising (stay healthy, Gabby Perea!)
I am so ready for teams to put the pressure back on Oklahoma but I don’t have my hopes up. UCLA’s post-Olympics class looks amazing but they always squander 90% of their ex-elite talent.

Further thoughts on UCLA:
Conditioning has historically been a weak point for them, with the exception of the short reign of Jo as floor coach. I think this year, Kyla will lead by example, but my concern with them is always poor fitness leading to injuries and depleted roster options.
Marz needs to step it up and provide a 10 vault. They don’t need extra floor options, they need vaults.
The departure of Miss Val will mean they now have three actual gymnastics coaches on paid staff. Maybe that will bode well for them.
I hope to see Shapiro and Toronjo in the lineups (That oversplit mount on beam)

Ooh boy, these LSU and UCLA rosters looking scary for next year. The young er girls have to start stepping up NOW or Oklahoma is running away with everything.
Hoping we can see the rise of Missouri, Auburn, and a Florida comeback to the top. They have insane recruiting classes over the next two years.
I’d like to see Cal get up there. Their current sophomore group is super strong and next year’s recruits are also promising (stay healthy, Gabby Perea!)
I am so ready for teams to put the pressure back on Oklahoma but I don’t have my hopes up. UCLA’s post-Olympics class looks amazing but they always squander 90% of their ex-elite talent.
UCLA could almost post a lineup of all seniors. Not quite, but they could reasonably account for 3-5 routines on each event. If they #freemacy
Further thoughts on UCLA:
Conditioning has historically been a weak point for them, with the exception of the short reign of Jo as floor coach. I think this year, Kyla will lead by example, but my concern with them is always poor fitness leading to injuries and depleted roster options.
Marz needs to step it up and provide a 10 vault. They don’t need extra floor options, they need vaults.
The departure of Miss Val will mean they now have three actual gymnastics coaches on paid staff. Maybe that will bode well for them.
I hope to see Shapiro and Toronjo in the lineups (That oversplit mount on beam)

I hope this is the year we see Tratz and Kocian healthy and performing to their potential. (handspring pike-half please!)

Nia Dennis was posting videos of her training a DTY (same w Marz) but then in their intrasquad it was just a full. Agree with the above, UCLA was great on every event but vault, and they really need to get more consistent 10.0 vaults in order to truly contend with OU
