Links will continue to be added as they become available.
#4 Utah is idle this week.
Meets on Monday and Tuesday are not included as part of week 3 for ranking purposes, but I include them here because I won’t post links again until after they’re done.
*The password is “TERPS” because it’s password protected for some reason.
Meets marked ESPN2 will be broadcast live on TV and can also be streamed online at the link provided for those who have a log-in from a TV provider subscription that gets ESPN2, which is all of them.
Meets marked SECN will be broadcast live on TV and can also be streamed online at the link provided for those who have a log-in from a TV provider subscription—U-Verse, Spectrum, DirecTV, Dish, Xfinity, Verizon, Sling, Hulu, or YouTube TV.
Meets marked SEC+ may be streamed on WatchESPN for those who have a log-in from a TV provider subscription—U-Verse, Spectrum, DirecTV, Dish, Xfinity, Verizon, Sling, Hulu, or YouTube TV.
Meets marked ACCNX function like the SEC+ meets and may be streamed on WatchESPN for those who have a log-in from a TV provider that carries the ACC Network.
Meets marked ESPN3 may be streamed on WatchESPN for those who have a log-in from a participating internet service provider, which is basically all of them
Meets marked ESPN+ may be streamed through a paid subscription to the ESPN+ streaming service ($5/month).
Oklahoma meets on a local FSN network may be available for streaming on FSGo, but check availability beforehand to see if the meet shows up among your options. FSGo streaming of OU meets is very limited depending on both your provider and your region of the country.
Meets marked P12N will be broadcast live on TV and can also be streamed online at the link provided for those who have a log-in from a participating TV provider subscription. The Pac-12 Network provides an international subscription for those outside the US. Otherwise you’re probably left looking for last-minute bootleg streams, which do appear but can be finicky. That also applies if you are without the subscriptions listed above.
Meets marked FLO may be streamed through a paid subscription to FloGymnastics ($30/month).
Meets marked BTN+ may be streamed through a paid subscription to BTN+ ($15/month) or through FloGymnastics ($30/month).
Meets marked [School]$ are streamed through school-specific services and require a subscription to that school’s web streaming.
Meets marked BYUTV will be on broadcast TV on the BYU Network or streamed for free at the link provided after making a profile and logging in.
Meets marked FREE are free at the link provided.
Thanks a billion! I can no longer watch a meet without thinking, Hmmmm, what would Spencer say?
It’s only week three and Im a bit tired of NCAA…
So Aliya M. had another interview she said :
Q: Does it annoy you that the Americans are so strong?
A: No, it doesn’t. Perhaps, they’re strong because they have a different approach to training or something.
Q: But is it possible to beat them?
A: As soon as Simone Biles retires, it will be possible. At the last World Championships, their team generally won only because of her. The rest of the girls are at more or less the same level.
What are your thoughts? Will the American reign be over after Simone retires?
Three words for Mustysmell: Dream on, bitch!
I happen to agree with AM- when you take out Simone and out up the USA ,4th best on each event it gets much more even. When you decrease team size it also means an all-star from another country can make up major ground. Doesn’t mean another team will win but it certainly makes it more likely.
Math for last quad checks out for this sentiment; math for this quad so far does not. Will be interesting to see how it plays out in a post-Simone world.
The more athletes allowed, the less the US would dominate, because no one has nearly as many strong all-arounders as the US.
If you took out Simone and subbed in someone else in 2019 Worlds, they still would have won by a two or three points due to difficulty. In Tokyo, it would be the same thanks to difficulty. Falls can’t be predicted, but the US wins in execution team wide as well.
Two or three points isn’t close, it’s a guaranteed cushion for two extra falls. Although, she was right that the rest of the team was more or less at the same level. But that level is guaranteed podium spots if they don’t have catastrophic errors and top 8 in the world even if they do.
I think when Simone leaves, the US will continue to be the #1 team to beat, they just won’t be winning by 5-7 points, they’ll be winning by 2-3.
Yep, this is why Simone’s absence makes it more possible for another team to win, but not more likely.
Hold up. Is UGA/ISU really not streamed? Every home meet for at least the last fifteen years has been streamed for UGA. I would think SEC+ would provide it?!?!
NVM. The ISU schedule shows the meet being in SEC+!
Western Michigan @ Northern Illinois is at 7PM CT (8PM ET), not 7PM ET according to their info.
Does anyone publish NCAA MAG like this blog? Spencer is amazing for WAG. Kensley do something similar or someone else?
I think the way they actually judge and score MAG is far easier to follow since it’s so much closer to FIG CoP with just a few exceptions.
College Gymnastics Association usually does. However, most of the MAG meets are not televised. Pretty much sucks. They rely on FB live-streams, which means you need a phone and a computer to watch both sides of the meet.
So are Cal and Stanford just going to compete against each other every week now, sometimes with a couple other teams there and sometimes just the two of them? LOL
