If you’ve subscribed to the Denver stream, they now have dedicated streams for each of the three teams. If you haven’t subscribed, let the rest of us know what’s happening in that Ohio State tri-meet.

Touch warmup has started now. Denver on vault, Oklahoma on bars, Temple on beam.

OU has put Deniz on beam in the third spot. Deniz also on floor instead of LaPinta. Quinn Smith vaulting. I’m very distressed by Denver’s posted 5-member lineups everywhere except floor.

Rotation 1

Ruiz – VT – Denver – hit full good control, just a bit short, hop in place. 9.775

Thomas – UB – OU – solid jaeger – hits her vertical on bail, nice cast hs on high – DLO, stuck landing. Pretty start.

Oster has a check on a kickover front first up for Temple on beam.

Thompson – VT – DU – also controls her full landing, better distance than Ruiz but more of a pike, small hop in place.

9.900 for Thomas with a 9.850/9.950 split.

Levasseur – UB – OU – small arch in first hs – maloney to bail, nice toe point – short cast hs on high – DLO, larger bounce back. 9.850 pretty high.

Vasquez – VT – DU – a pretty yfull in teh air but doe not have too much amplitude, full tenth lunge back

Nice front tuck beam mount fron Newland for Temple

Draper – UB – OU – piked jaeger, hit, some flexed feet – pak, some feet, solid – good cast hs on high – blind to double front, lunge forward. 9.800

Glynn – VT – DU – still a large bounce back on her Tsuk full which is going to inhibit the score.

Smith – UB – OU – good first hs – Ray to pak, solid, good speed – just slightly late on 1/2 turn on low – good cast hs on high – DLO, some piking in shape, bounce back. 9.825

Brown – VT – DU – lovely high 1.5 – solid position – bounce forward.

Webb – UB – OU – pak, excellent – good cast hs on low – van leeuwen, legs right together – blind to double front 1/2 out, struggling with that dismount, lands chest well down, large lunge forward.

Denver gets through a five-person vault with a 48.975.

I see one judge posting 9.800 for Webb.

Davis – UB – OU – good first hs – higgins to lovely piked jaeger – strong handstand to pak, pretty solid 1/2 turn on low – higgins to front giant to high double front, stuck landing. Good.

Rowland – BB – Temple – bhs loso series, secure, slightly tight in shape – cast leap to side aerial, large break, bend at the hips – switch to split jump to loso, well short of split positions – 1.5 bound forward

9.950 for Davis so Oklahoma goes 49.325 on bars, which they’ll take for a rotation that was pretty crisp on the bars but had a number of people struggling on those dismount landings. Lots of full tenths. Some strong ones in there from Thomas and Davis.

Castrence – BB – Temple – full turn, slight correction – bhs loso series, hit, lean correction – sissone to switch 1/2, a struggle on leap positions, bend and the hips check – split to straddle 1/4, straddle was better on split shape – gainer front full, bounce forward

After 1:
Oklahoma 49.325
Denver 48.975
Temple 48.825

I enjoyed the full-walking save on that loso from Temple exhibition on beam.

Moment of truth coming up for OU on beam, as well as kind of for Denver with a bars lineup of five, with once again no Mundell or Casali or Hutchinson in any lineups today. Not ideal.

You guys…did the freshmen explode?

Rotation 2

OU has moved Ragan to the beam anchor spot.

Ruiz – UB – DU – shoirtish first hs – giant full to tkatchev, hit – solid cast hs – bail, hit, slightly loose – casts look good sinc ethe first one – DLO, secure landing. Good start. 9.875

Dunn – BB – OU – bhs bhs loso, very sturdy – split jump to straddle 1/2, also solid – gainer full, stuck. Useful hit. 9.925 is a lot. There are some rhythm and split things you can take there.

Temple has a floor fall first up –

Morton – UB – DU – short first hs – tkatchev, hit – bail is solid, will get nickel and dimed for these handstands – but survived it – DLO, lunge forward. 9.725

Schoepfer – BB – OU – bhs loso series, hit, knees – good full turn – side aerial through to switch to split, keeps solid rhythm – 1.5 dismount, pace back. 9.850

Thompson – UB – DU – piked jaeger, hit – some position – bail, small hip angle on catch – another couple hs – DLO, step forward. 9.750

Deniz – BB – OU – split leap mount – side aerial to bhs, hit, a little knees – aerial, maybe a bit too long into beat jump but good aerial – switch to sissone, small hesitation – cat leap to side aerial to full, stuck landing. 9.900

Glynn – Ub – DU – good gienger, legs together throughout – hits bail – casts look good – FTDT, holds the stick, somewhat deep. 9.875

Brown – UB – DU – maloney to pak, very solid – a bit short on cast hs on low – van leeuwen, hit – DLO, great height and stuck. Just a couple hs in there. 9.950

Davis – BB – OU – bhs loso series, hit – cat leap to aerial, solid – bits of knees from this angle – beat to split ring jump, small correction lean – 2/1, finds stick. That onodi is OUTTTT. 9.950

9.950 with a check.

Denver with a hit for 49.175. Morton and Thompson survived their routines as needed.

Webb – BB – OU – bhs loso series, solid, good extended knees – aerial to beat is hit – swtich to switch, a balance beck, and then an additional step back to find her rhythm – side aerial to full, a little forward, tries to sell the stick. And 9.900 for that check.

Smith – BB – OU – bhs loso series, small lean to hold it – aerial, hit – bea tto straddle 1/2 to korbut is ideal – bhs gainer full. Hit.

Oklahoma was NOT going to fall in that beam rotation this week. That was an Oklahoma beam rotation.

Also the judging theme for today is: “Get well get well soon we want you too get well.”

Another 9.950 for Smith. The only things that were deducted in this rotation were balance checks, and the bare minimum for each. Basically, we’re left to believe the score for this rotation would have been 49.975 if no one had checks.

Thomas hits in exhibition, though will be tough to break in after today’s performance.

Leary – FX – Temple – front lay to rudi, lunge back, keeps front foot down – switch side to popa, a little crooked – double tuck, forward landing, lunge

Oklahoma goes 49.625 on beam. I mean it was a really good rotation. Like a very strong 49.450.

After 2: Oklahoma 98.950, Denver 98.150, Temple 97.550

Rotation 3

Brown – BB – DU – kickover to bhs, small pause but solid elements – switch to split, short back leg on switch – aerial to wolf jump, smooth – gainer full, stuck. Some positions, but very solid work. 9.925, well it’s consistent –

Draper – FX – OU – clean double pike, under control – also under control on middle pass, just some knees – good lift in popa – 1/2 to rudi, small slide back – 9.850

Thompson – BB – DU – side aerial to loso, solid, knees – switch to switch, some back leg on first switch, second was better – side aerial to full, leans to hold stick. 9.900

Schlottman – BB – DU – bhs loso, smooth – switch to split 3/4 – side aerial, hit – step back on gainer full. Some moments of solft knees, overall smooth work, confident.

Schoepfer – FX – OU – secure landing on doiuble tuck – 1.5 to layout, some knees – switch ring to wolf hop full

Ruiz – BB – DU – hitch kick to switch side, nice – bhs loso, hit, small arm lean correction, good height – side aerial to split, comfortable – gainer pike, small slide heels together. 9.875

Johnson – FX – OU – double tuck, controlled landing, legs together – switch 1/2 to wolf jump full, some legs on switch 1/2 –

Vasquez – BB – DU – bhs loso series, glorious form – switch 1/2 with a lean correction which will take away the 10 they were setting up for – y spin, another lean check – switch 1/2 again – aerial, hit – side aerial to full, step back – I think she was trying to save her SV in there. Dance combo?

Deniz – FX – OU – whip to 2.5, good, crossover step, some knees – switch ring to split full, gets a little bouncy on landing but lots of leap potential in her work – rudi to split jump, some travel –

Webb – FX – OU – front 2/1, not her strongest landing there, a crossover step adjustment – 1.5 to front full, excellent – possible attempt at double stag into split leap 1.5 a little under – has to tuck a front layout full in her final pass into stag jump, that was strange. She’s had some botches and balks lately.

Temple went 48.725 on vault. Denver doing as much as could be expected with a 49.175 on beam. And now they do have six people on floor. (If they need Morton at the end.)

Smith – FX – OU – double tuck, nailed landing – 1.5 to layout, strong amplitude – switch side to wolf jump full, a smidge under on full – double pike, another secure landing. She’s having a solid day.

9.925 for Smith and a 49.475 floor rotation score.

After 3: Oklahoma 148.425, Denver 147.425, Temple 146.275

Rotation 4

Q Smith – VT – OU – full, medium pace back, some knees in the air. Fine. 9.775

Ruiz – FX – DU – double pike, bounce back – switch side to popas, got bouncy and a tad short toward the end – front tuck through to double tuck, secure, chest down, but solid.

Stern – VT – OU – sticks the landing on her Y1.5 – very strong, good direction, knee form to take, not a ton else. 9.950

Davis – VT – OU – some better control on her full, bounce back. 9.800

Levasseur – VT – OU – Y1.5 – hits this week, not under, fairly large lunge forward

Thompson – FX – DU – double pike, keeps front foot down – switch side to popa, hit – front lay to rudi, secure, some chest positions – ends 3/1, pulls it around, slightly under.

Webb – VT – OU – Y1.5 – jussttttt saves her landing, was short, stepped back to avoid sitting it.

Schoepfer – VT – OU – Y1.5 tucked – strong work, small hop forward.

Gray – UB – Temple – shortish first hs – giant full to a gienger, nice amplitude, some legs on catch – bail, small leg break – some short cast hs – sticks double tuck

Vasquez – FX – DU – front full to front half to back tuck, struggles to finish it, short back tuck – double y is pretty – switch 1/2 and popa – punch rudi really nice, holds the stick, chest forward.

49.375 on vault for 197.800 total for OU.

Castrence – UB – Temple – good first hs – giant full, a little late – hit tkatchev, solid toes – bail, small leg break, hits vertical – cshort cast hs on high – DLO, flings out but finds the landing.

Denver, we need to talk about your arena soundtrack. This is not what we’re looking to have to hear.

Glynn – FX – DU – front pike through to double tuck, holds landing, chest forward – switch sdie to popa to popa, nice lift on that initial switch side – double pike, also under control, good shape. 9.875

Temple finishes with 194.850, a big step up from their previous scores this season. A combination of not counting falls this time and being at this meet.

Brown – FX – DU – DLO, super high, excellent, under control on landing – switch 1/2 to wolf full, clear positions – back 1.5 to layout to sissone, low on the layout but pulled it out – double pike, nailed landing. very strong.

Brown goes 9.950, which puts Denver at a 196.725, and we’ll see if they have Morton go.

Morton – FX – DU – punch rudi, short landing, lunge to the side – switch full, shortish on split position – switch 1/2 to wolf full, that was solid – back 1.5 to front full, just does get the front full around with a lunge to the side.

Denver could not have expected much more than this given the lineup apocalypse of today. They survived the five-member lineups, got some judging help, and live to fight another day.

FINAL:
Oklahoma – 197.800
Denver – 196.725
Temple – 194.850
The Code – Optional
