For the top scores of week 5, I’m looking at the routines that got a 10 from one judge or a consensus 9.950 from both judges. Have at it.
The 9.975s
Derrian Gobourne – Floor – Auburn
Alexia Burch – Vault – Utah
Emily Muhlenhaupt – Bars – Boise State
The 9.950s
Sami Durante – Bars – LSU
Abby Paulson – Beam – Utah
Elizabeth Culton – Beam – North Carolina
Lauren Guerin – Floor – Iowa
Maddie Quarles – Vault – Minnesota
Lexy Ramler – Bars – Minnesota
Ona Loper – Floor – Minnesota
Lynnzee Brown – Bars – Denver
Lynnzee Brown – Floor – Denver
Allie Stern – Vault – Oklahoma
Evy Schoepfer – Vault – Oklahoma
Audrey Davis – Bars – Oklahoma
Audrey Davis – Beam – Oklahoma
Ragan Smith – Beam – Oklahoma
Kynsee Roby – Beam – Nebraska
So glad that Lynzee Brown is back to her pre-injury self. She is a class act.
elizabeth culton and lexy ramler would have been 10’s in the SEC 🐸☕
Because there have been so many 10s this year in the SEC . . .
I love that people still act like other conference don’t have crack scoring.
Other conferences? Sure. EAGL? lololololol
Allie Stern proving not all 9.95s (or 9.975s) are the same.
Quarles too
Quarles form is so good. She deserves a 10 when she sticks it.
Her form is good but there were more than 0.05 deductions in that vault
How can ramler get this bars score with two short handstands and form issues?
I guess I don’t understand what a “controlled lunge” really is. Didn’t Derrian’s front foot lose contact with the floor on the landing of her first pass? It looked like she also adjusted both feet on her second pass and then had a jerky landings on her last pass. None of her landings looked fully controlled.
Nothing to take on form, but I’d have a least 0.1 total on landings across the 3 passes. It looked like a very good 9.9 routine but nothing higher. What am I missing?
I just wrote the post above. Following up on that, why didn’t Lynnzee Brown get a 10 on floor? Landings, leaps, and form in the air looked perfect to me. I don’t get this sport.
