No one has actually dictated that this skill is called the Alt Schleudern, but since we’re calling the Zuchold the Zuchold Schleudern, then for consistency I have decided that this is the Alt Schleudern. Or whatever. Something like that.
The origination of this skill in 2017 was met with some controversy because of course it was. Tabea Alt intended this skill to be a Zuchold (currently a D-rated element) with an additional 1/2 turn to low bar. But because the skill does not finish in handstand, the WTC went, “BOOOOOOO” and gave it a lower rating than the Zuchold Schleudern at just a C, despite its introduction of an extra 1/2 twist.
