Like all other single turns on floor, the single attitude turn exists in a purgatory of pointlessness where it’s not valued high enough to be worth intentionally performing in a routine—though this is more true of the single attitude because this is the rarest of the turn positions anyway.
The term attitude simply comes from an alternate definition of the word attitude, meaning the position of the body. It makes more sense when you’re French.
