The front pike is no more valuable than the front tuck on floor, so therefore it has far less of a footprint because if you’re using an A-value front salto for various combination and requirement needs, you’re picking the front tuck because it’s easier.
The only reason the front pike would appear is if you are a Chinese elite and already used up the front tuck when connecting out of your 3/1 and need another element to tack onto your back 2.5 to get some more bonus. Then, you use the front pike.
