Giant 1.5

Like all 1.5 pirouettes, the giant 1.5 is an almost nonexistent skill in modern gymnastics because the penalties for a late finish on pirouettes are so high (and basically unavoidable on a 1.5) that it could never be worth the value. The giant 1.5 sort of had its last heyday in the 2006-2008 code when gymnasts had to count 10 skills and just needed to cram in as much as possible, but since then, it hasn’t been worth it. Sunisa Lee is currently on a one-woman quest to bring it back into style, like leg warmers.
