Piked Stalder 1/2

Uneven Bars

Skill type

Known as
Piked stalder 1/2
Inbar 1/2
Clear pike 1/2

There is my no means a consensus as to what to call these damn skills. Are they inbars? Are the piked Stalders? Can we come up with a better name that’s none of those things? I don’t have a particular preference, though I do wish we could all settle on one.

The piked Stalder-style elements are all worth one tenth more than their corresponding elements in the toe-on, Stalder, and clear-hip families, rendering them exceptionally valuable for those who can do them. The piked Stalder 1/2 is the highest-rated way of working into a Jaeger, and the only one that qualifies for connection value, making it the chosen pre-Jaeger skill of the best bars workers in the world. About 90% of the gymnasts performing the piked Stalder 1/2 connect it directly into a Jaeger.
