Undervalued with respect to the typical Yurchenkos, the Ivantcheva is almost never seen these days—in either elite or NCAA—because it’s just not worth bothering with a round-off 1/2-on entry unless you’re an elite planning to eventually upgrade to a Cheng (and those athletes typically start competing these vaults from the laid out position) or you’re an NCAA athlete who can add a 1/2 twist to it.

Terminology runs about 50-50 for calling this “Yurchenko 1/2 on” or “round-off 1/2 on,” which are two things that mean the exact same thing. I favor the “round-off” terminology since a Yurchenko entry is its own specific thing that doesn’t have a 1/2 turn.
