The split jump full is a far less popular choice for a C element on floor than its leaping cousin, but still a few will do it—mostly those looking to load up on as many dance elements as possible because they have maybe 2 or 3 tumbling passes and need to fill their buffet places with Cs somehow.

Beginning in 2017, it is considered the “same” skill as the Popa, meaning the two skills cannot both receive credit in the same routine. Because telling the difference between split and straddle is hard yo. (Sadly, on many gymnasts, it actually is.)
