About
This neck stand mount was named after Daniela Silivas in the 1980s and first appeared as the Silivas in the 1989-1992 code of points, but named credit was removed from this skill in the 2022 update.

The description of this skill has also changed over the years. When it entered the code of points, it was “jump to neck stand, full turn over shoulder to stand,” but in 2009, it became “jump with 1/2 turn over shoulder to neck stand, 1/2 turn to chest stand,” and I’d say the second wording is the more accurate description of what Silivas actually did.

In that 2009 change, the value was also dropped from C to B and a similar skill was eliminated—the “jump to neck stand, 1/2 turn over shoulder to chest stand” that Silivas competed in 1986 prior to adding the additional 1/2 turn for the Silivas we know today in her 1987 routines.

The FIG’s historical named skill document sites 1985 as the year the Silivas mount entered the code of points, but she was not yet performing neck stand mounts at the 1985 World Championship. That would come later.
