This is now the final round-off pike vault in the code of points. There used to be a piked 1.5 in the code until 2013, at which point twisting vaults in the piked position were capped at a full twist. This is a controversial move, but it’s also one I don’t really mind because complicated twisting in the piked position always just ends up looking like an ugly layout. Ugly Layout is not its own salto shape in the code of points, despite what you might think from watching all gymnastics.
That’s why anyone trying this general idea of a vault will probably try to lay it out kinda-sorta so that they can (and will) get layout credit. Bye bye pikes.
