The stag jump made a triumphant (?) return to the beam code of points in 2025 after being absent since 2006. The stag leap had previously appeared, but there had not been an option for a stag jump in quite some time.
As an A (0.1) element, the stag jump is not eligible for connection or series bonus, so doesn’t have a huge composition footprint, but it is an excellent option for a dance combination requirement Plan B. When the original plan for a more valuable dance combo goes…beamy…the stag jump can easily be tacked onto the end of something to make sure you at least get the 0.5 requirement.
