So, this thing exists. It’s actually not quite as rare as you might think (because what you might think is “gahhhhh never”), with gymnasts like Shantessa Pama—above—also performing it after Brenda Magana, but we haven’t seen this dismount in years and years and basically no one in their right mind would do it as more than just a “look what I can do” kind of thing. No one who has tried has been able to withstand performing it or do so with any real success or consistency. But it does exist.
