About
While the three-flair mount had already existed for a number of years, Peng Peng Lee submitted the two-flair mount at the 2011 World Championship in Tokyo. She performed it successfully and entered it into the code of points, but the skill was originally given a B value, so it was not named after her because a skill must be at least C to be named.
In 2022, however, this skill was upgraded from B to C, so I would argue that the Lee name should be awarded to the skill retroactively because it now fulfills the standard for naming.
This rule that a skill must be at least C to be named exists mostly because of beam mounts since there are just infinite ways a person could invent to get onto the beam. “I’m going to jump up with my foot in my ear!” “I’m going to pretend there’s a cake in my hand!” If everyone did that just to try to get a skill named, we would have an OED-length beam mounts section of the code of points—which we basically already do.
