In modern elite gymnastics, the Yurchenko tucked 1.5 has met with the same fate as all the other complicated tucked vaults in that it is valued too low to ever be worth trying, though it did escape the 2022 downgrade purge relatively unscathed, losing only two tenths. From 2017-2021, it was valued the same as the Yurchenko layout 1/2, but starting in 2022, it is worth two tenths more.
The tucked 1.5 does have its occasional moment in NCAA given its 10.0 start, but it turns out this vault is kind of hard and has never truly caught on as a 10.0 start alternative the way the handspring pike 1/2 has.
