About
The straight jump full on floor is one of those skills that the FIG cannot decide what it should be valued, or if it should even exist.
In the final edition of the closed code published in 2001, it was an A element as it is now. In the first open code published in 2006, this skill was eliminated entirely, and the more difficult 1.5-turning version was an A. Then in 2013, the straight jump full came back as an A, and then in 2017 it was upgraded to a B, and then in 2022 it was downgraded back to an A.
The end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started, etc.
Either way, it’s not really valuable enough to use, but we’ll always have that time Ellie Black did it in her 2019 world championships floor routine as the first element in her passage of dance.
