About
Let’s have a night of honesty. It was an act of charity that Dos Santos was given credit for performing this element in the straight position at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing because she is definitely piked. It’s not sufficiently distinguishable from the many times she performed her also eponymous double Arabian piked that she got named five years before.

There were times at various competitions over the years when Dos Santos performed it with a straighter body position that would merit layout credit, but not at the Olympics when it was named.

A solid argument exists that this skill is undervalued at H (0.8) when the more commonly performed (as in people actually do it) double double layout is at I (0.9). When the Dos Santos II entered the code, it was a G, the highest level available at the time. When the G cap was lifted, it was appropriately bumped up beyond G, and now it’s probably time for another reassessment.
