About
The triple full is a favorite pass for those who excel at keeping their legs together. It’s one of the (comparatively rare) opportunities to get some actual tenths on floor without having to perform a double salto, and those who are comfortable enough with twisting to do it in combination can unlock a whole treasure trove of difficulty value. Get two tenths of bonus with your E (0.5) triple full and suddenly it’s worth the same as doing a Biles I.

The other code hack here is that twisting elements cannot be downgraded for being under-twisted if they are connected into another salto, so if you can only do 2.73 twists of the 3/1, it’s all good if you perform a front pike out of it. A ha ha ha ha, we’re fine.

The un-hack here is that it’s really hard to keep your legs together when twisting that much, and most top gymnasts trying it look like a party streamer from a hurricane’s bat mitzvah. So it’s not the most common choice.

Because gymnastics is a comedy, not a drama
