Per the pre-meet lineups, both Oklahoma and Kentucky are bringing out the same 24 routines they competed last week, just with some minor order shuffling.

Elsewhere, Georgia is changing things up on beam and adding CaMarah Williams into the anchor spot.

Rotation 1

Hofseth – VT – Kentucky – yfull, medium step back, some pike, fine. 9.775

Scheible – UB – OU – good first hs – blind to jaeger, good – oof, goes over on a handstand, empty swing to get back the right direction – resumes to bail – shorter cast on high – FTDT, stuck. Oklahoma starting with a miss. 9.350

Rizo – VT – Kentucky – nearly finds stick on yfull, step back, a big stronger form, same-size step. 9.800

Pederson – UB – OU – Ray, hit – rushes hs a little – toe on to pak, fine today – 1/2 turn on low – DLO, good legs together and stick. Strong, not quite there on all handstands but otherwise good. 9.825

Gardner – VT – Kentucky – hs pike 1/2 is hit, pretty large bounce back. 9.775

Murphy – UB – OU – toe on to maloney – very good pak and 1/2 turn on low – short hs on high – giant full also slightly past – into double tuck, chest down, can’t hold stick with a step. 9.750

Noonan – VT – Kentucky – ro 1/2 on pike 1/2 is solid, small step back, slight direction – good dynamics. 9.825

Fatta – UB – OU – Church to pak, solid, small elbows on church but not much – hits 1/2 turn on low – DLO, holds the stick, some pike in first salto. Good. 9.900

Rodriguez – VT – Kentucky – Y1.5, sticks very well – just a little bit of leg position, little separation on block. Nice. 9.925

Estep – UB – OU – Tkatchev is close on amplitude but hit, bent elbows – bail, solid legs together – giant full, good finish directly into FTDT, small foot adjustment on landing. 9.875

Cashion – VT – Kentucky – hs pike 1/2, lands with chest down, so has to step forward. 9.750

Torrez – UB – OU – hits first hs – Ray is strong – good hs after – toe on to pak, high, small leg break – 1/2 turn on low – DLO, some legs, small hop back. 9.850

After 1:
Oklahoma 49.200
Kentucky 49.100

49.2 isn’t as low as the 49.1 from the Missouri meet, but Oklahoma won’t be that happy with bars. It was fine, but it wasn’t Oklahoma-precise in all the handstands and landings. Kentucky got a good one from Rodriguez to go 49.100, just sort of on par with what they’ve been doing on vault, but if the goal is the season’s first 196, this is on pace.

Rotation 2

Pederson – VT – OU – y1.5, good block today, hop forward. 9.875

Rizo – UB – Kentucky – short hs on high – blind to jaeger, good – bail, leg separation and a little body position – DLO, piking and feet, possible stick, but we just saw Tim Garrison. 9.750

Wells – VT – OU – y1.5 with a very strong stick – little leg separation on her block, good twisting shape. 9.950

Rivelli – UB – Kentucky – blind to jaeger to overshoot, great height, kind of fingertipped it on the jaeger but ended up great, lovely toe position – short hs on high – DLO, step back. 9.775

Scheible – VT – OU – in for Blessey – hs pike 1/2, solid stick, good leg position, not the most distance. Another 9.950.

Frayen – UB – Kentucky – hits jaeger – rushes through hs on high slightly – pak with leg separation, hit – shorter cast hs on high – FTDT, some feet, chest forward with a step. 9.750

Estep – VT – OU – Y1.5, fights for the stick, does well not to move but does lean forward at the hips with an arm wave to keep it landed. 9.850

Bennett – UB – Kentucky – maloney to pak, really strong leg position – 1/2 turn on low – toe on to DLO, a little lower on the DLO with another step forward. 9.800

Mueller – VT – OU – Y1.5 with a step forward, little bit of knees, little bit of shoulder angle. 9.850

Noonan – UB – Kentucky – Ray to overshoot, hit – DLO, stuck – forward camera angle makes it tough to see anything but looked solid. 9.850

Fatta – VT – OU – Y1.5, tries to sell the stick, looked like she was going to get it with a little lean but ended up with a step salute – doesn’t hold the finish position. 9.925

Rodriguez – UB – Kentucky – good first hs – tkatchev, solid, not the highest amplitude, but hit – bail, legs together well, slight hip angle – hits hs on high – DLO, good stick. 9.850

After 2
Oklahoma 98.750
Kentucky 98.125

A more Oklahoma performance on vault there, no one had any real issues, very strong from Wells and Scheible in the middle of the lineup. Kentucky’s almost there on bars, but didn’t have the handstands to get up into the solid 49s. Remains over 196 pace through two. Now just have to hit a beam rotation.

Rotation 2

Rizo – BB – Kentucky – candle mount – aerial, solid – bhs loso is secure as well – switch to straddle 1/4, a little tight in position but no check – full turn, hit – 1.5 dmt, step forward. 9.750

Pederson – FX – OU – front 2/1, controls the step forward – back 1.5 through to 2/1 very comfortable landing with quick dance out – switch side, over turns by a quarter, into popa and wolf full – 9.850

Brose – BB – Kentucky – front tuck, holds it, good chest position – kickover, connects comfortably to aerial, nice feet – switch to beat – full turn, nice presentation – 1.5 dmt, didn’t get a real punch but is able to stick it, not the most amplitude. 9.875

Murphy – FX – OU – front tuck through to a closeup of her teammates for some reason, double tuck bounce back – switch 1/2 to wolf full, very nice – back 1.5 to front lay, hit, could have more rise – switch full is around. 9.875

Breaking news: KJ thinks Sinners should win best picture

Lee – BB – Kentucky – bhs bhs loso, extremely large break, does keep it on the beam but a couple large wobbles and bends and leg up – switch to straddle 1/4, hit – full turn, little check – 1.5 dmt, deep landing, arm wave to hold the stick. 9.525

Pawlak – FX – OU – double pike, pretty foot position, bounce back – switch 1/2, very slight over turn to wolf full, good dance positions – back 1.5 to front full, rebound out – switch full, not quite as strong as Murphy’s but basically there. 9.875 seems a little high there

Bennett – BB – Kentucky – bhs loso loso, solid, good dynamics – cat leap to aerial, smooth as well – switch, very short back leg, connected to beat – gainer pike, good stick. 9.825

Fatta – FX – OU – front full, missed her foot and somehow still connected into the 2.5, but does land it short with a shuffle step back – tour jete 1/2 to popa, good one – front 2/1, under control on landing – 9.775

Van Frayen – BB – Kentucky – stomach roll mount – bhs onodi with a large break, bend past the hips at horizontal – full turn, nice – aerial, solid – switch to beat – 1.5 dmt is stuck. 9.650

Mueller – FX – OU – MUSIC DELAY what ever shall we do – front tuck through to double tuck, chest slightly forward, quick present – front lay to rudi, lands chest down and under rotated with a step to the side – tour jete 1/2 and popa are excellent – 9.875 also too much for me given that rudi

Rodriguez – BB – Kentucky – switch to split, secure but short on back leg position – bhs bhs loso solid – side somi, very strong – 1.5 dmt, stuck. 9.900

Estep – FX – OU – front lay to front 2/1, floor sneaks up on her a little bit with a stutter step on landing – switch 1/2 to wolf full – good height on 2.5, quick Oklahoma dance-step out, she has already mastered that. 9.850

After 3
Oklahoma 148.075
Kentucky 147.125

Kentucky stayed on the beam, so that’s a win. They still had to count a major error for 9.650, but progress. They should still get a 196 with a hit floor. Oklahoma 49.325 on floor, a few landing errors there in the end of the rotation, no one really nailed it. Kind of feel like Pederson had the best one.

Rotation 4

Fatta – BB – OU – bhs loso, very solid – I don’t think you should get to do away beam with “I am beautiful” playing in the background, it should at least have to be “timber” or some Halloween sound effects – side aerial, good – hitch to switch side – full turn – switch, little lean through the combo into split jump – bhs gainer full, stuck. 9.875

Van Frayen – FX – Kentucky – wolf double, hit – double tuck, little rebound – switch ring to switch 1/2 – front lay to rudi, lower rudi with leg crossing and chest down – broken leo back. 9.800

Wells – BB – OU – cat leap to switch side aerial, secure but then little check on landing – full turn – switch to split, comfortable – bhs loso, good amplitude – 1.5, holds stick. 9.900

Jason is like, “Kennedy stop telling everyone to do cartwheels”

Bennett – FX – Kentucky – double pike, nice amplitude, little bounce – switch ring to wolf hop full – front lay to front full, under control, doesn’t rise in second element – double tuck same as pike, high, little rebound

Murphy – BB – OU – nice candle mount, clear vertical – lovely bhs loso, right on – aerial, little wobble and step forward to try to control it – full turn, another check – beat to split ring, very comfortable – gainer full, stuck. Perfect first and third acts, wobbles in the second act. 9.850

Gardner – FX – Kentucky – great height on DLO, kind of replaces a divot with her front foot trying to keep it down – switch side to wolf full, under on wolf full position – front tuck through to double tuck, controls landing, strong chest position. 9.850

Pederson – BB – OU – full turn, nice – bhs loso, comfortable – side somi, holds clearly – htich kick to switch side, shorter position on straddle – 2/1 perfect stick. 9.900

Rizo – FX – Kentucky – solid double pike – double tuck, slide back – switch 1/2 to popa, gets a little low, off posture at the end – back 1.5 to layout, 1.5 is nice and high but then makes it look like the lay is low by comparison

Mueller – BB – OU – full turn – bhs loso with a wobble, turn to the side and arm wave – side aerial to side position, hit – switch to switch side – 1.5 dmt step forward. 9.750

Rodriguez – FX – Kentucky – rudi to back lay 2 feet – switch ring to tour jete 1/2, looked under split – double tuck, very solid, chest up, controls step – back 1.5 to half to straddle jump, good as well. 9.875

Torrez – BB – OU – great wolf jump – side aerial loso, very strong, small waver we can see from the front angle – full turn – switch to straddle, good amplitude – bhs gainer full, stuck. Great. 9.950

Brose – FX – Kentucky – double pike, nice foot position, shows control – tour jete 1/2 to wolf full, a little under rotated on wolf – front full to layout, very good height – front 2/1, very comfortable. 9.950

FINAL
Oklahoma 197.550
Kentucky 196.475

Oklahoma almost a point lower than last week but still a top of the rankings kind of score. But vulnerable to a 198 from someone else. Kentucky gets through a hit meet for over 196, so they’ll take it, even if 196.475 still isn’t really the competitive conference number they want.

Moving on to Florida and Arkansas.

Rotation 1

DiCello – VT – Florida – y1.5, more solid landing than last week – hit with hop forward. 9.900

One of these days Adrian is just going to celebration-punch a gymnast in the face.

Roberson – UB – Arkansas – clear hip to maloney to pak, hit with some leg separations – works through 1/2 turn on low but past with some body position deduction – DLO, little step back. 9.775

Disidore – VT – Florida – y1.5, larger step forward and a little adjustment lean to try to control – 9.825

Klein – UB – Arkansas – Hindorff to overshoot, hit, closer catch, little leg separation in overshoot – a bit short on hs on high – DLO, pikes down, finds the stick

Draser – VT – Florida – y1.5, hit, little hop forward, some more soft knees than the first two vaults. 9.875

Smith – UB – Arkansas – toe on to maloney to bail, legs together, little angle on bail position – solid hs on high – DLO, slide back. 9.825

Frazier – VT – Florida – she’s in this lineup today – DTY, hits it with a hop back, some knee position. 9.875

Swaney – UB – Arkansas – toe on to maloney, small leg sep in connected pak and some body position – just fighting it a little with a short hs on high – DLO is stronger, with a stick. 9.775

Ferris – VT – Florida – Y1.5, shorter landing today with step back. 9.800

Cucci – UB – Arkansas – good first hs – toe on to pak, very nice height and leg position – van leeuwen, leg separation to start – shorter hs on high – DLO, lands low, chest down with a hop. 9.775

Harris-Miranda – VT – Florida – Y1.5, little hop forward, solid, some knee position, not as much distance as some others. 9.900

M Price – UB – Arkansas – good first hs on low – toe on to maloney to bail, solid, little leg separation on shaposh backswing – more solid hs on high than the others – FTDT, compresses to hold onto the stick. Solid. 9.900

After 1
Florida 49.375
Arkansas 49.100

Florida fine on vault, recovers from last week, didn’t stick anything though so can’t expect that this rotation would score a 49.375 in less friendly circumstances. Arkansas a little raggedy in having to count a couple 9.775s there, but through a normal hit.

Rotation 2

Weaver – VT – Arkansas – yfull, nice position, hop back – knee brace emphasizes little leg separation. 9.850

Frazier – UB – Florida – good first hs – toe on to maloney to pak, fairly large body arch but her usual – slightly tight hs on high – DLO, smallest rebound. 9.900

Smith – VT – Arkansas – yfull, nearly finds the stick but was too forward and ends up with a step forward – not a ton of distance. 9.750

Pilgrim – UB – Florida – good first hs – maloney to tkatchev is hit, OK – pak, solid – 1/2 turn on low, good position – late-ish on hs on high – FTDT, small step. 9.850

Anya counts her Tkatchevs. This is correct.

Cucci – VT – Arkansas – Y1.5, with a pretty large lunge forward. 9.825

McCusker – UB – Florida – stalder shap to pak very clean – hits hs on low – van leeuwen, legs together – hits hs on high – stalder to double tuck, good feet but step back. 9.875

Klein – VT – Arkansas – y1.5, solid pop, step forward. 9.875, so one judge only took step

DiCello – UB – Florida – small back position deduction in first hs – church to pak, very solid – van leeuwen, legs together – hits hs on high – FTDT, little bit of legs, good stick. 9.925

L Williams – VT – Arkansas – y1.5 lands a little deeper this week with a hop forward 9.875

Blakely – UB – Florida – good first hs – stalder tkatchev piked to pak, hit, leg separation on pak – solid 1/2 turn on low – hits hs on high – toe higgins into double front 1/2, excellent stick. 9.950

M Price – VT – Arkansas – y1.5, very good position in the air, hop forward. 9.925

The reins are off and the scores are goingggggg.

Harris – UB – Florida – good first hs – Ray, hit – solid hs – toe on to bail, nice form throughout – hits hs on high – DLO, nice float and stick. Watch out. I’d still like to see more layout position in the first salto, but that was also better than usual. 9.950

After 2
Florida 98.975
Arkansas 98.450

Take the absolute minimum possible deduction-fest.

Meanwhile, if you didn’t see Konnor McClain’s bars dismount for LSU, I highly recommend her second-lean-whatever eye roll. Very good execution.

Rotation 3

Arana – BB – Florida – bhs loso, good control and leg position – aerial, smooth – switch toi switch 1/2, a little under but very secure – full turn, check – gainer full, a little pike, stick. 9.850

Cucci – FX – Arkansas – DLO isn’t the highest we’ll see but gets the landing, pikes down, little slide – switch side, over turns some, into a lovely popa – front tuck through to double tuck, chest a bit down, good control. 9.825

Blakely – BB – Florida – wolf triple and double are hit – million points of bonus – aerial to bhs, nice – someone yelled gorgeous, was it one of the judges? Inconclusive. – switch 1/2 to beat, slightly loses feet but one of the best actual split positions on a switch 1/2 – gainer full, stuck. 9.950

M Price – FX – Arkansas – double pike is short, chest down, hop forward – front lay to front full, under control – love the switch 1/2, connects to two wolf fulls – back 2.5 is weeeirrd, big slide out of it into the corner and was trying soooo hard to stay in bounds that she put her hand down. 9.075

Frazier – BB – Florida – full turn, holds leg up for 9 hours – aerial to loso, doesn’t stop moving through it – split jump to split ring jump, good position but a wobble afterward – 1.5 dmt, nice stick. 9.850

Smith – FX – Arkansas – front loso to double tuck, nice chest up and control, excellent landing – switch side 1/2 to straddle – double pike, overcooks it with a lunge back

Harris – BB – Florida – bhs loso bhs, very strong – switch to straddle 1/4, went very high on that, wobble lean on landing – 1.5 dismount, solid stick. 9.900

Williams – FX – Arkansas – FTDT, I like it, but chest somewhat down – switch side to popa is very strong – back 1.5 to front full, shows good rise in second element. 9.825

This whole issue of Price’s hand down should not be a discussion, right? What is this, Mary Lou 1984? That’s a fall.

DiCello – BB – Florida – candle – comfortable wolf double – switch to split, good split positions – bhs loso, secure, some knee position – aerial, hit fine today, sliggghtest teeter out of it – gainer full, stuck. 9.950

F Price – FX – Arkansas – DLO is very short and falls – double Price fall means Arkansas will count a miss – switch side and popas are excellent – front full to lay, also kind of low but gets it to her feet under control

McCusker – BB – Florida – wolf double, around, hits it with a chest lean forward – beat to aerial, nice – bhs loso, wobble lean – switch to split, lovely – gainer full, hop back. She stayed on? Is that enough to keep her in the lineup? 9.700

She never has the hitting to keep her spot, but if you can teach her to hit, she gets you like a tenth over the other options on form.

Roberson – FX – Arkansas – DLO, comfortable, not as high as she can be, but she had enough to get it around – switch side to popa, comfortbly around – front through to double tuck, slide back. 9.850

OUT = split protractor
IN = front foot bubbles

After 3
Florida 148.475
Arkansas 146.850

ESPN is like, wish we hadn’t planned this PRICE SISTERS featurette for right after they both fell on floor.

Arkansas counts the fall to mean this isn’t going to be a useful total. Florida hits the first five beams pretty comfortably for 49.500. Some slight wobbles, mostly ignored. Blakely the highlight again. She’s having a good one.

Georgia goes 49.550 on beam with a 9.975 for Smith. Clemson breaks 197 to beat North Carolina.

Rotation 4

Gustitus – BB – Arkansas – bhs loso, solidly done – switch to switch 1/2 to split, loses her feet on the switch 1/2 and is short of split on the final split jump – full turn – gainer pike, solid. 9.850

Booker – FX – Florida – FTDT, good position, arm wave to try to hold the landing and ends up lean/stepping – switch side, over turns some into popa – front tuck through to double tuck, under control well. 9.825

Klein – BB – Arkansas – standing loso loso, very solid – switch to straddle 1/4, great straddle, a little low on switch – full turn – 1.5, step forward. 9.825

Ferris – FX – Florida – DLO, not the most amplitude, pikes down some but holds the step under control – switch side to popa, hit – back 1.5 to front full, also good control, slight knee position. 9.875

Cucci – BB – Arkansas – smooth full turn – bhs loso, holds it, little waver on landing – aerial – switch to split 1/2 is comfortable – 1.5, holds onto the stick well, good one.

Clark – FX – Florida – DLO, shows control – tour jete 1/2 to popa goes pretty wild, crooked on the popa but pulls it around, out of control- front tuck through to double tuck, bounce back – 9.850

Weaver – BB – Arkansas – bhs loso, hit under control, chest a little down – side aerial fall

Frazier – FX – Florida – DLO, chest down but definite control – switch ring to switch 1/2 to popa, very well completed – front tuck through to double tuck, solid chest position, small slide. 9.950

M Price – BB – Arkansas – full turn, nice – bhs loso, wobble, lean to the side, keeps it on – cat leap to aerial, smoothly landed – switch to split, good – 2/1, chest down, hop forward, stayed on when needed. 9.725

Blakely – FX – Florida – double front to stag, hit – cowboy on double front – tour jete 1/2 to popa, very good – back 1.5 to front full is stronger, good twist position. 9.975, with a 10 from one. Feel like we needed to deduct for cowboy and flexed feet on the double front there.

Roberson – BB – Arkansas – pike jump, good – switch to back tuck, secure, borderline switch – full turn – side aerial to loso, comfortably controlled – low on punch front full dismount, with step back. That kind of day. Still gets 9.850. Everyone is DONE.

Harris – FX – Florida – into the floor lineup – FTDT, bounce back, little leg separation in the air – tour jete 1/2 to popa to shushunova very strong – back 1.5 to front full, a little short, landed under control. 9.925, sure whatever.

FINAL
Florida 198.050
Arkansas 195.975

Good hit for Florida, showing that their roster has the talent to be the national championship favorites, as long as they don’t rest on these performances to be enough for 198s in April. Arkansas with a counting fall, so this result won’t help, but it’s their first bad one, so they can still drop it.
