About
The very first Biles to be entered in the code of points, the double layout with 1/2 twist was awarded to Simone Biles after she performed it at her first World Championship in 2013 in Antwerp. It would later become known as the Biles I once she got a second floor skill named after herself in 2019, the Biles II.

The Biles I was one of the first floor skills (along with the Moors) to take advantage of the new expanded difficulty values on floor. Previously, difficulties were capped at a maximum of G (0.7), with the double layout at F (0.6) and the double layout with a full twist at G (0.7). In that system, there would have been no room for a double layout with half twist to be valued in between the two. When the cap was lifted for 2013, the full twist became an H (0.8), so the Biles could nestle in at G (0.7).
