About
The triple turn is a moderately common skill—as long as you’re Chinese—though its relatively low value of just a C (at least given its risk) inhibits gymnasts from attempting it. Working under the impression that if they’re going to go for a challenging turn with a pretty high likelihood that they’ll fall out of it, they might as well go for a D-rated double Y or double L to get the maximum possible reward.
