An unexpectedly early start today, what with this heavy weather we’ve been having. Georgia and Oklahoma has been moved up four hours, so let’s get into it.
Surprisingly non-zero number of people at this meet considering the…middle of a weekday of it all.
Rotation 1
Pederson – VT – OU – shorter landing on y1.5 with step back, good height, little leg separation on repulsion. 9.850. One judge goes 9.900, which you shouldn’t have with the under-rotation and the tenth step back
Wahl – UB – Georgia – good hs on low – toe on to maloney to pak, legs together, a little abbreviated on the back swing on the shap, not extreme – 1/2 turn on low, a bit late – slightly short hs on high – DLO, chest down, step forward. 9.775
Wells – VT – OU – very nice Y1.5, good twisting position, little hop forward, pre-flight leg separation. 9.900
Bacskay – UB – Georgia – pak, legs together – toe on to van leeuwen, solid – short hs on high – giant full to double tuck, holds stick. 9.800
Blessey – VT – OU – handspring pike 1/2, bounce back, good height, tucks at the end. 9.900
Woolford – UB – Georgia – good hs on high – pak, very high – hits hs on low – toe on to van leeuwen, legs together – a bit short on hs on high – stalder to open double tuck, hop forward. 9.900
Estep – VT – OU – Y1.5, good distance, holds the stick. Strong. Lands a little far back on her heels, holds onto it. Broadcast says 9.950, Virtius says 9.975.
Scott – UB – Georgia – high Ray, loses gform form at the end – hits pak – van leeuwen – solid hs on high – DLO, takes it a little close but holds the stick . 9.900
Mueller – VT – OU – nearly finds the stick on her Y1.5, small step forward. 9.900
Reingold – UB – Georgia – blind to piked jaeger, comfortable – pak, nice form – solid finish position on 1/2 turn on low – hits hs on high well – DLO, little hop back and then a lean-step back into salute. 9.875
Fatta – VT – OU – y1.5 is solid in the air, little hop forward. 9.950
Smith – UB – Georgia – good hs on low – stalder to maloney to bail, high, solid vertical position on bail – stalder to double tuck, step back
Georgia got 59.150 on bars apparently. Which is a pretty solid encapsulation of the trouble everyone’s having with the scoring system today, and also the judging of this meet.

After 1
Oklahoma 49.625
Georgia 49.300
Buckle up. A good rotation for both teams, Georgia wishing Reingold and Smith had held onto sticks because it looks like those would have been at least 9.950 then, which actually would have kept them close to Oklahoma.
Oklahoma goes 49.625 with one stick. I counted .250 for landing steps/hops on the five counters, and there was only .375 off total, so it’s a landing day.
Bart’s going up 4th for 9.950.

Rotation 2
Scott – VT – Georgia – nice high yfull, good shape, hop back, shuffle both feet. 9.750
Scheible – UB – OU – small hesitation in first hs – jaeger, hit – solid hs on high – bail, legs together well – crisp cast on high – FTDT, good feet, stuck. 9.925, very good one.
Moll – VT – Georgia – y1.5, solidly done, small hop forward, could see she was a little under-rotated from this terrible forward angle
Pederson – UB – OU – good hs on high – Ray, solid extension – toe on to pak, legs together – struggles on low bar, does an accidental cast full and then hits her foot on the mat – finishes DLO stuck. 9.825. Hit on mat with foot is .30, brush is .10, so they said it was a brush at maximum…slash never happened? Craziness.
C Williams – VT – Georgia – good amplitude on y1.5, less control on lunge forward. 9.850
Murphy – UB – OU – Maloney to pak is well done – she also struggles on 1/2 turn on low, 1/2 turn, switches back and now recasts to do a 1/2 turn, cool cover but went over the wrong way with a late finish – giant full to double tuck, step forward. 9.800
Mistakes aren’t real.
Aquino – VT – Georgia – very good stick on Tsuk 1/1, solid distance, legs apart on block, a bit of direction. 9.900
Fatta – UB – OU – Church to pak is very strong – a little rushed hip angle in 1/2 turn on low bar – DLO, light piking at the beginning, good stick. 9.925
Wahl – VT – Georgia – Y1.5, good height, little shuffle forward both feet. 9.875
Estep – UB – OU – tkatchev, hit, not the highest – solid hs on high – bail, legs together – good hs on high again – giant full to FTDT, holds onto stick well with little teeter. 9.925
Battle – VT – Georgia – controls her Y1.5 today, hop forward. 9.925
Torrez – UB – OU – Ray is high, toe on to pak, small leg separation – 1/2 turn on low – solid cast hs on high it looked from this direction – DLO, leg separation slide back. 9.875
Georgia 49.400 on vault, Oklahoma 49.475 on bars.
“Good cover” = “no deductions” in this house.
After 2
Oklahoma 99.100
Georgia 98.700
198 watch alive and well here. Both teams on track to break the bank. The 9.8 scores for Pederson and Murphy on bars are my cause of death.
Rotation 3
Fatta – BB – OU – bhs loso, holds the landing under control, looked a little off line but didn’t check – side aerial, solid – hitch kick to switch side, slightly angled in split position – full turn – switch to split, solid, hits positions – gainer full, chest forward but holds the stick. Opening 9.950
E Williams – FX – Georgia – double pike, shows control well – switch side 1/2 to popa looked good – front lay front full, controls the step, lower amplitude and some legs – double tuck, great control, chest forward. 9.875
Wells – BB – OU – cat leap to switch side aerial, very good landing – full turn, hit – switch to split, good 180s – bhs loso, squeezes and holds without a check, chest a little forward – 1.5 dmt, stuck. Another 9.950 with 10/9.9 split.
Tomlin – FX – Georgia – double Arabian to stag, good height, great double arabian, stag gets out of control into the corner it appeared but we’re getting nose-hair closeups in that corner so tough to tell how much control – switch 1/2 to popa, around well – front loso to double tuck, controls it, chest down. 9.875
Murphy – BB – OU – candle mount, good vertical – bhs loso, lovely position in the air, very good – aerial, on – full turn – beat to split ring jump, good landing – gainer full, stuck. Watch out. 9.950 for her as well. This is the score for routines.
KJ almost fell into the corral during this routine. 9.400. Maintained toe point but .3 wobble and some lack of sureness. Well, we can’t be putting that in the lineup.
Wahl – FX – Georgia – FTDT, good position on landing but bounce back – front tuck through to double tuck shows more control – 1.5 turn, a little leany – tour jete 1/2 to wolf full is around comfortably – 9.850
Meanwhile. Arkansas is done with a 197.475.
Pederson – BB – OU – full turn, hit – bhs loso, solid – side somi, quick slide of foot together – hitch kick to switch side, solid, a little tight/rushed – 2/1 dmt, step back. 9.850
C Williams – FX – Georgia – exceptional DLO – switch side to popa, very high, good positions, slightly overturns the switch side – front tuck through to double tuck, controls front foot, good – 9.950.
Mueller – BB – OU – hits candle mount well – full turn – bhs loso, holds it, very small hip teeter on landing, squeezes it – side aerial, again a little off, shows small check adjustment – switch to straddle 1/4, good positions – 1.5 dmt, step forward. 9.825
Aquino – FX – Georgia – DLO, controls the front foot as well, good – front tuck through to double tuck, hips going farther back a bit more on that landing – switch 1/2 to a high wolf full – 9.900
Torrez – BB – OU – great wolf jump – side aerial loso, holds well, tiny body adjustment – full turn – switch to straddle, nice positions – gainer full, great height, stuck. 9.975 for her.
Smith – FX – Georgia – front 2/1 to front tuck, shows the control, a litttle low on landing – bhs loso series to show that she wishes this were beam – switch side to wolf full, pulls it around – rudi to a straddle jump, good one. 9.950
Oklahoma at 49.675 on beam, Georgia at 49.550 on floor. You know, like how scores go. Ice cream for everyone!
After 3
Oklahoma 148.775
Georgia 148.250
Rotation 4
Tomlin – BB – Georgia – hits candle mount – switch to straddle, small adjustment on landing, good splits – bhs bhs loso, high but off line and falls – resumes with full turn – 1.5 dmt, big hop forward. 8.900
Pederson – FX – OU – front 2/1, controls the step forward – 1.5 through to 2/1, rebound back – solid twisting – switch side, overturns into popa and wolf full – 9.925,
Wahl – BB – Georgia – bhs bhs loso, arms down quickly, holds on without check – full turn – beat to split 3/4, lean forward wobble at the hips, pulls it back – 1.5, back on her heels, holds onto the stick. 9.750
Murphy – FX – OU – front tuck through to double tuck, good control but chest down about horizontal – switch 1/2 to wolf full, closeup during it so no idea on landing position – back 1.5 to front lay, shows control again, could rise more in the layout but good – switch 1/1, gets feet around. 9.925
Woolford – BB – Georgia – wolf double, good – bhs loso, great feet, was a little off line, pulls it back with a minor check – switch to split, excellent positions – high 2/1, leg separation in the air, small bounce up in place. 9.850
Pawlak – FX – OU – double pike is very nice, chest up, controls the step – switch 1/2 to wolf full, around – back 1.5 to front full, hit, OK solid , some knee and height – switch 1/1 is a quarter turn under rotated on landing, hops it around. 9.950, why not.
Smith – BB – Georgia – aerial to bhs, smooth – cat leap to switch is comfortable as well – kickover piked, high – full turn – aerial, attempts to connect to split jump, keeps moving but a big lean over at the hips in the middle – gainer full, lower, sticks it
Expected judges conference about that one.
9.625 with a 9.8 start.
Mueller – FX – OU – front tuck to double tuck, good landing, small leg separation – front lay to rudi is under with a bounce correction to the side – tour jete 1/2 to popa is very good – 9.925. Felt like the rudi there was an actual chance to separate, with under-rotation and control.
Scott – BB – Georgia – full turn, slight correction – bhs loso is comfortable, lovely foot position – aerial, small body check before split and bhs – switch to split, holds onto it – front hs to rudi dismount, hop. 9.800
10 points to Bart for being like, the moon walk you guys…
Estep – FX – OU – front lay to front 2/1, good control, slight knees – switch 1/2 to wolf full – 2.5, keeps the step together again, softish knees on her twisting here – 9.925
Turner – BB – Georgia – full turn – bhs loso loso, huge break, bend over at the hips past horizontal, does keep it on the beam – switch to split, more tentative than usual on that split after the error – 1.5, some knees, holds onto stick. 9.600
Fatta – FX – OU – front full to 2.5, keeps her back foot down – tour jete 1/2 to popa, around well – front 2/1 is definitely under-rotated with a crossover step – So also a 9.925.
FINAL
Oklahoma 198.425
Georgia 196.875
Oklahoma stays in from the snow for a big old pot of home cooking. KJ made enough Hip Wiggle Casserole for everyone! A very strong competition, but you know, everything is a 9.925 and the same and mistakes aren’t real. This ties for the highest January score ever. Georgia will be kicking themselves about beam because this was an opportunity for a reflected-glow giant score that didn’t materialize.
Until later!
Let’s spend some time with Kentucky and LSU on ESPN2, celebrating Konnor McClain Vault Day and Creslyn Brose Is Back Day. Brose will be going in all six spots on both beam and floor.
Over in Alabama, Cawley stuck her leadoff Y1.5 and went 9.925. MacPherson missed a cast handstand well short and had to recast on bars for Missouri. 9.325. But I thought 9.8?????
Rotation 1
Zeiss – VT – LSU – Y1.5, sticks her y1.5, didn’t get a ton of block so didn’t seem like she was going to land it but she did, some knee bending at the end. 9.900
Rizo – UB – Kentucky – hits jaeger – bail, good legs together, little hip angle – shorter cast hs on high – DLO, whipped with some leg form, tries to stick, leans and steps forward. 9.725
McClain – VT – LSU – just a yfull, hit it but with a larger hop back and some pike. 9.825
Noonan – UB – Kentucky – good first hs – Ray into overshoot, good amplitude on overshoot – rushes hs on high – DLO, holds onto stick with some pike in the air
Ballou – VT – LSU – also magically manages to stuck a y1.5, got very little block and a leg separation on repulsion, legs crossed throughout and deep landing, somehow stuck. 9.750
Van Frayen – UB – Kentucky – blind to jaeger, good feet – tight hs on high – leg separation on pak – short hs on high – FTDT, chest well down and step forward. 9.725
Drayton – VT – LSU – Y1.5, lovely form but one of her uncontrolled landing days, large lunge forward. 9.700
Bennett – UB – Kentucky – maloney to pak is smooth – laboreds in 2/1 turn on low – cast hs arches but pulls it back – DLO, also short and a step forward. 9.775
Lincoln – VT – LSU – follows Drayton with a large bound forward on her Y1.5 as well – leg separation on block. 9.825, they could have gone harder there as that was a minimum .150 landing hop
Rivelli – UB – Kentucky – short first hs – jaeger is too lovely to live, high and toe pointed and way too far, falls – resumes with redoing her jaeger into overshoot, solid – DLO, stuck
Chio – VT – LSU – Y1.5 and a very good stick, pretty vault. She’s like, everyone shut up and do no gymnastics except me. 9.950. Kind of thought it would be a 10, and it wouldn’t have been the worst 10 in the world. I like 9.950 for that vault (allowing room for those who have more dynamics), but since when do I agree with the judges?
Rodriguez – UB – Kentucky – tkatchev, good – clear hip to bail, legs together, good vertical – short hs on high – DLO, lean forward, holds stick. 9.875
After 1
LSU 49.250
Kentucky 48.975
Not an ideal rotation for either. Both got saved by a couple lineup heroes.
Rotation 2
Hofseth – VT – Kentucky – yfull and struggles to control the landing, larger lunge back and some pike and direction. 9.650
John and Sam are talking about the 0.2 step. The problem is that it has to be THREE FEET to be a 0.2 step, which is soooo much for these shorties. That works for dev, but the standard isn’t strict enough for college.
Zeiss – UB – LSU – maloney to pak, hit – FTDT, good height, stuck with a stagger. 9.925
Rizo – VT – Kentucky – yfull pretty solid, little hop back, some pike. 9.825
Cowan – UB – LSU – Ray, good, very high into overshoot, solid – short hs on high – DLO, shuffle back, kind of a small hop and then some more movement. 9.875
Gardner – VT – Kentucky – hs pike 1/2, good, little step to the side, tucks at the end – 9.825
Ulrich – UB – LSU – maloiney to pak, hit, small leg break – good 1/2 turn finish on low – short hs on high – DLO, hop back . 9.850
Noonan – VT – Kentucky – ro 1/2 on pike 1/2 is well done, small step back, solid positions. 9.875
Chio – UB – LSU – good hs on low – maloney to bail, a little flat, very slightme hip angle in bail – better cast hs on high – khorkina, hit, a little close – FTDT, sticks with stagger. 9.900
Rodriguez – VT – Kentucky – Y1.5, just a little bit short with a scoot back and then a step salute lack of control. 9.775
Blackson – UB – LSU – good bail – gets up to handstand on high – very good khorkina – borderline hs – DLO, little bit of piking, holds stick. 9.950
Cashion – VT – Kentucky – very solid hs pike 1/2, step back . 9.875
McClain – UB – LSU – good hs on high – Church is soo high and soooo close, lots of elbow form on catch, nearly caught with face – pak , little leg break, good feet – hits hs on high – FTDT, good stick. 9.900
LSU was like, “Excuse me home meet pleasssseeee” for that bars rotation and a 49.550. Kentucky will also absolutely take the 49.175 on vault at this point because hit.
After 2
LSU 98.800
Kentucky 98.150
LaCoursiere got another 9.975 on bars for Alabama.
Rotation 3
Coen – BB – LSU – aerial to beat, hit – bhs loso, solid back leg air position – switch to split, secure – full turn – 2/1 dismount with step back, her best one on the beam. 9.850
Van Frayen – FX – Kentucky – wolf double, good – double tuck, controls front foot – switch ring to switch 1/2, switch ring is under ringed – front lay to rudi gets very low, pikes the rudi and chest down on landing, does control it. 9.775 with a 9.700/9.850 split.
Zeiss – BB – LSU – forward roll mount – beat jump – side aerial, hit – aerial to bhs, smooth combo – switch, little hesitation into split jump, short back leg on switch split 180 – wolf double, arm waver to balance – gainer tuck full, step back. 9.825
Bennett – FX – Kentucky – double pike, hit – switch ring to wolf hop full – front lay to front full, under control – double tuck, slightly down, hop to present – some knees here and there but a solid hit. 9.825
Drayton – BB – LSU – switch 1/2, gets to 180 well – bhs loso, good extension – switch to split, i don’t think she’s actually bending her back knee here but the compression sleeves make it look like it – full turn – 2/1, little hop back. 9.925
Gardner – FX – Kentucky – DLO, bounces back, just keeps it in – switch side a little tight in split position, into wolf full, hit – front tuck through to double tuck, short with chest down, covers with a hop. 9.725
Lincoln – BB – LSU – aerial, leans through to bhs, slight correction – switch 1/2 to beat, good position as well, little waver on landing – full turn – switch to straddle 1/4, lovely 180s – little leans and hesitations after everything – 1.5 dismount, excellent stick. 9.925 because her nervousness is just choreography I guess. She’s playing the character of someone who doesn’t know she’s the best gymnast on this team.
Rizo – FX – Kentucky – double pike, lunge back into the corner – double tuck, secure landing – switch 1/2 and a little more into straddle – back 1.5 to layout, under control on the step, layout doesn’t rise. 9.725
McClain – BB – LSU – switch to switch 1/2, great splits, light flexing of front foot on switch 1/2 – aerial to bhs, lovely – full turn – side aerial, smooth – wolf jump, high – gainer full, a little flat but OK, good stick. Jay Clark walking away grumpy because 9.950.
Rodriguez – FX – Kentucky – rudi to layout is solid – switch ring to switch 1/1, looked tight and under on both of those positions – double tuck, controls front foot well – back 1.5 to 1/2 to straddle, solid
Chio – BB – LSU – bhs mount, good – bhs loso, solid – full turn, hit – aerial to split is comfortable – switch to split, good height – 1.5 dismount is stuck. And this one gets a 10. D-D was going to punch a baby if that didn’t get a 10. I do think it was stronger than McClain’s overall.
Brose – FX – Kentucky – double pike, good form, bounce back – tour jete 1/2 to wolf full – front full to layout – front 2/1 final pass, pretty twisting – almost there. Or, I guess, there because 9.900
LSU goes 49.650 on beam. A really strong rotation, they went too high for Drayton and Lincoln to inflate the total, but very good from McClain and Chio.
After 3
LSU 148.450
Kentucky 147.225
Florida and Auburn about to get started now.
Rotation 1 – Auburn v Florida
Greaves – VT – Auburn – yfull, medium bounce back, some piking. 9.750
Frazier – UB – Florida – maloney to pak, hit, small leg break in pak – hits 1/2 turn on low – good hs on high – DLO, chest down, step forward. 9.825
And Sharon Lee for Kentucky just missed a foot on beam and did an impromptu Korbut to her face. So it continues going great for Kentucky on beam?
Leverton – VT – Auburn – Y1.5 with really nice amplitude, little lean to the side holding the stick. 9.875
Pilgrim – UB – Florida – maloney to tkatchev is hit, a little flat in maloney – pak, good – 1/2 turn on low – short hs on high – FTDT, good stick. 9.925
Neal – VT – Auburn – y1.5, also seemed like she could have stuck but then leaned to the side and then stepped and it was kind of a large landing deduction after seeming like a stick. 9.825
McCusker – UB – Florida – good hs – chow to pak, clean position on pak – good hs on low – van leeuwen, great – stalder into double tuck, very nice. And we have 9.975 in the third spot.
Huff – VT – Auburn – Y1.5, they’re close to landing these right on and then getting a little excited, ends up stepping back. 9.825
Rizo with a loso fall for Kentucky in the second spot.
DiCello – UB – Florida – Church to pak is solid – van leeuwen, legs together – hits handstand on high – FTDT, step forward. 9.875
“Was most likely going to be a member of that Olympic team in Paris.” Fun with re-writing history!
Zancan – VT – Auburn – hs on handspring front pike, excellent stick, have to deduct for direction though. 9.900
Blakely – UB – Florida – stalder tkatchev pike to pak, hit – 1/2 turn on low is finished very well – short hs on high – higgins to double front 1/2 out, little hop. 9.925
Bell – VT – Auburn – DTY, tries to stick, ends up leaning forward with a hop and a step
Harris-Miranda – UB – Florida – good hs on high – Ray is solid – hits hs on high – bail, legs together, good flat hip, hits hs on high – DLO, stuck landing, piking but they’ve been ready to give a 10 so we’ll see. 9.925. Very reasonable.
Great save from Chesney Bennett on her loso series for Kentucky to prevent a third straight fall.
Florida continues today’s 49.6 train with their opening bars. Like most of the 49.6s today, the best scores were great, but they middle scores needed to be lower to show.
After 1
Florida 49.625
Auburn 49.175
Webb is trying to make Alex do L grip.
Back at LSU, judges conference on Kylie Coen’s floor after a 9.900/9.750 split. Seems like a lot of landing in cannonball position and getting 9.900 thus far. So, normal.
Rotation 2
Draser – VT – Florida – y1.5 is under with a step back. 9.750
Neal – UB – Auburn – toe on to maloney, legs tgoether into pak, smooth – 1/2 turn on low – tighter hs on high – giant full is past into double tuck, step forward
Bui – VT – Florida – eeeesh, short locked landing on Y1.5 and now she’s down grabbing her knee. Owen carrying her off.
Bartman – UB – Auburn – good first hs – blind to jaeger to overshoot, good feet in jaeger – aggressive hs on high – double front, pretty large lunge back
A Disidore – VT – Florida – Y1.5, and she comes up short as well and falls, which will count. 9.300
Jong – UB – Auburn – hits first hs – stalder shap to pak, legs together well on pak – van leeuwen, leg break in the air – stalder to FTDT, holds the stick with a stagger and chest down
DiCello – VT – Florida – she’s like absolutely not, I will overrotate this vault by a million, and not even for a second risk will I risk these porcelain legs – Y1.5, large lunge forward and then another step. 9.675
Booth – UB – Auburn – maloney to pak, little leag breaks in both – vna leeuwen – rushes hs on high – DLO, legs, slide back and then another small step
Ferris – VT – Florida – Y1.5 is very strong, holds onto a stick, small lean to the side and a leg separation in twist
Greaves – UB – Auburn – Church to pak is good – toe on – van leeuwen, small leg spearation – shorter hs on high – FTDT, a little low amplitude, small movement
Harris – VT – Florida – Y1.5, gets a solid stick, just some light knee form at the end, not as far as Ferris. 9.950
Irvine – UB – Auburn – good hs on high – blind to piked jaeger to overshoot, good – small arch on hs on high, pulls it back – FTDT, step back. 9.850
Like Oklahoma, LSU got an Everyone Is a Princess and Mistakes Are Fake floor for 49.600 to go over 198. LSU wins 198.050 to Kentucky’s 195.775, with just one counting fall on beam, which is a win comparatively?
After 2
Auburn 98.300
Florida 98.225
Florida counts the fall on vault to drop behind Auburn, so that’s something unexpected.
Gladieux 9.975 on floor to finish for Alabama, they beat Missouri 197.500 to 197.225
Rotation 3
Ahern – BB – Auburn – wolf double is hit – bhs loso series, chest down – cat leap to switch side, a little abbreviated in both positions – 1.5 dmt, good stick. 9.875
Booker – FX – Florida – high FTDT, bounce back, keeps it in bounds but kind of balance checks – switch side, overturns slightly into popa – front tuc through to double tuck, secure landing. 9.875
I feel like the SEC Network had “WTF is releve?” on a powerpoint slide in the meeting this week. We’re all talking about it.
Hagle – BB – Auburn – aerial to bhs, nice positions – side aerial, little hesitation into beat jump – split to stag ring to korbut, good rhythm and feet – gainer pike, hop. 9.850
A Disidore – FX – Florida – DLO, a pike down at the end, little rebound – switch side to popa, nice switch side, a little crooked in popa split – back 1.5 to front full with a lunge forward, just into the corner. 9.875
Huff – BB – Auburn – side aerial to loso, good amplitude but larger wobble, bend over at the hips – split and straddle 1/4, good straddle position shown – beat – gainer full, pikes it down, shuffle back. 9.675
Ferris – FX – Florida – DLO, good control, little pike down – switch side to popa, also a little crooked on popa position – 1.5 to front full, little sideways step – 9.875
Florida isn’t at home, so they didn’t get the “all floor is 9.925” memo today. Everything is 9.875 instead to show that they’re the away team.
Irvine – BB – Auburn – kickover to bhs, quick combination, good – full turn wobble – switch to one-arm bhs – short back leg on switch, lean to the side after bhs – beat to wolf, another small lean to the side check – gainer full, stuck. 9.800
Frazier – FX – Florida – DLO, chest up, keeps front foot down and doesn’t pike down at the end – switch ring to switch 1/2 to straddle jump, good – front tuck to double tuck, good height, under control. Nice one.
9.875. Big Hot Take: these 9.875s were not all at the same level.
Greaves – BB – Auburn – wolf double goes wild and crazy, lots of wobbling around but keeps it on the beam – aerial, nice – bhs loso, good foot positions, solid landing – split jump, check before double stag, another check after – gainer pike, off to the side and a pretty big bounce forward. A stay on? 9.375 with a 97 start
Pairs of judges on dueling conferences here.
Blakely – FX – Florida – double front to stag, travels into the corner, stays in, flexed feet on the double front if you’d like – tour jete 1/2 to popa, around well – back 1.5 to front full, under control. Pleeeassse give it 9.875. Ugh, 9,925. It’s ruined.
Neal – BB – Auburn – bhs loso loso very strong, solid landing – switch to split, good – 1.5, little leg separation, secure stick. 9.900
Sasson – FX – Florida – FTDT, solid position in the air, chest a little forward on landing, controls the step – switch 1/2ish to popa – front tuck to double tuck, chest down but shows control. 9.825
After 3
Florida 147.650
Auburn 147.400
Florida uses floor to take back the lead, but it’s close enough that things could still flip flop again on home floor.

Ahern – FX – Auburn – solid on her wolf double – rudi to a loso, good amplitude, some knees in rudi – back 1.5 to front 1/1, lands under rotated with a step to the side – switch 1/2 to straddle, open hip position but nice feet. 9.800

DiCello – BB – Florida – candle mount, hit – wolf single, a bit tight but fine, no check – switch to split, solid – bhs loso loso is hit, slight hip adjustment on landing – aerial is still a problem, huge wobble and grabs the beam – high gainer full, stuck.
Bell – FX – Auburn – high punch 2/1, too high and misses the punch into a layout, gets it to her feet but short, lunge back – connected wolf jumps, position drops toward the end – insane double pike, excellent –
