About
We don’t see much of chest stand mounts in modern gymnastics, mostly because of “why would I want to stand on my chest when I can stand on my hands, or my feet even?” I mean, the chest is objectively one of the worst places to stand.
The cartwheel chest stand entered the code of points in the 2009 update after Lauren Mitchell performed it at the Beijing Olympics, and the regular chest stand strangely had to be submitted to the code by Krystyna Sankova at the 2013 world championship even though people have been mounting beam with chest stands since caveman times.
