About
The 2017 upgrade of this element from C (0.3) to D (0.4) did not exactly usher in the age of the wolf jump full. As with most complex jumps on beam, the idea of having to complete an entire full turn is too much of a deterrent, but some will still go for it. With a tuck or straight jump, you have to do 1.5 turns to get up D value, but with the wolf position, only a full turn is required for D, which is a compelling lure.

And then they’ll kind of under-rotate it, and wobble on it ,and then remove it from their routine for worlds. And then we understand why most gymnasts still don’t do it.

Because gymnastics is a comedy, not a drama
