In today’s first subdivision, Sweden used crisp leg positions on bars and beam to finish ahead of Romania and currently sit in 8th, while WG1Belarus went into last place among the 10 teams that have competed so far.

Greta Mayer, the lone Hungarian AAer here, was the standout individual of the subdivision, sticking the crap out of floor passes and going 13.333 on beam, which is temporarily in the EF positions. She scored 51.999 AA, which is currently 9th when accounting for per-country.

My favorite part of today’s start list was that Barbora Kundrat was entered in both subdivision 6 and subdivision 7. Go, do it twice.

In subdivision 5, it’s time to get all Nemoury with Algeria, Argentina, and Ukraine competing. Nemour is up either 2nd or 3rd in all of Algeria’s rotations.

Rotation 1

Macias – FX – Argentina – pulls through a wolf double – FTDT, shorter landing with hop forward – split jump full – front tuck through to 1.5 – switch, tour jete 1/2, comfortable – really struggles on double tuck, lands on hands and knees. 11.000

Laroui check on loso series on beam, finishes with a basically stuck double tuck.

Ting gets caught in a toe-on on bars and falls.

Nemour – BB – Algeria – loso mount to loso series is excellent and connected – bhs bhs layout 2 feet, hit with arm check – side aerial, solid – switch to aborted switch 1/2, did not do the element but stayed on the beam, just a switch hop 1/2 turn really – aerial to straddle to split, little pause after the aerial, hit elements and now has a recognizable leap combo – wolf double, hit – bhs bhs double pike. Well, a really strong one except for that switch 1/2, which really shouldn’t be counted as an element at all.

14.133 for Nemour, which is still a big score for AA purposes but not the biggest, into 4th on beam behind Okamura, Esposito, and Blakely.

Hands down on double tuck from Acosta on floor, second fall for Argentina.

Lucas – FX – Argentina – FTDT, bounce back – double arabian is hit with a hop forward – leans around a wolf double – switch – tour jete 1/2, hop back – 2/1, little movement – pulls around a switch 1/1 – double tuck, large bounce back OOB both feet. 11.700

Ajalla – FX – Argentina – switch ring 1/2 even looks good in a place like this – 2.5 twist, nice position, step forward – split leap to split ring leap 1/2 – back 1.5 to front full, has to tuck the front full a little to get it around, low with a step – split jump full – double pike is way short and she falls as well. 10.933

Argentina had a waking nightmare opening floor rotation.

Hamames-Moallic is off beam on her loso mount and again on her bhs loso series. Gets the wolf turn, side somi, hit – switch to switch 1/2 is more comfortable – 1/1 dismount, step back

Ting Hua-Tien – BB – switch mount to switch 1/2, good split positions, holds landing with a lean – aerial, kovely, connects to bhs straddle jump – switch to split ring jump to bhs, holds that as well – side aerial, lean correction – wolf jump full – full tiurn, over turns – front full dmt, hop tot he side. Pretty good hit overall. 12.933

Hrudetska – UB – Ukraine – inbars full to van leeuwen is very nice – inbar 1/2 to jaeger, solid – short cast hs – bail – toe shoot – stalder 1/2 to double front, step forward. Nice one. 13.566 is in 8th place on bars so far.

Lucas for Argentina gets a DTY to her feet, lots of form and a lunge forward but landed. Acosta follows with solid Y1.5 with step forward.

Nemour – FX – Algeria – DLO is hit, a little short with a hop forward – whip whip to 3/1, just into the realm of rotated, hop to the side – switch ring and tour jete 1/2 to knee, nice elements – wolf 2.5ish, – front through to double pike, bounce back OOB, possible both feet. Through a hit, but definitely some things. It was both feet OOB. 12.900

Lev – UB – Ukraine – van leeuwen with a straddle – stalder 1/2 to jaeger, hit – pak, comfortable, short on some cast hs – maloney to gienger, legs apart on catch – toe full, past, into double arabian, over rotates it and puts hands down

Lai Pin Ju – BB – Taiwan – switch mount, nice – aerial, large break, bend over at the hips – split and straddle are nice – bhs back tuck, hit – switch ring – side aerial, pause before split ring jump, which is connected to bhs – side somi, lean forward wobble – front lay dmt, hop forward.

Ukraine’s 39.365 on bars is one of the top bars scores thus far and has them well in front of the teams in this subdivision after 2

Gutierrez – FX – Panama – wolf double is good – DLO, nice height and strong controlled landing – double arabian, gets it, little slide back – tour jete 1/2, switch 1/2, under splits – ahhhhhh, FTDT lands on hands and knees. It had been so good to start.

Lucas – UB – Argentina – toe full to stalder shap to pak, solid combo – nice toe point – maloney to bhardwaj, only a small leg separation – nice can leeuwen – short cast hs – jaeger, good toe point – FTDT and falls to her hands and knees. Sigh.

Lobok – BB – Ukraine – hits loso mount – side to loso, secure landing, foot flexing but solid – aerial, good, doesn’t connect into split ring jump, wobble – switch ring, step – wolf triple is around – wolf jump, little hesitation into sissone – double tuck, lunge back. 12.900

Acosta – UB – Argnetina – blind to jaeger, nice, good feet positions and turnover – clear hip to pak. comfortable – toe on to maloney to gienger, legs together throughtoput – giant full to blind to double front, step forward. Nice one. 12.833

Kovalova – BB – Ukraine – bhs mount to bhs loso, great – switch, pauses before switch 1/2, and falls, great split position, but alas…kovalova, aerial, little pause before split korbut – wolf jump to split jump – onodi, good – side aerial, also nice – 2/1, leg crossing, step back. So much of it is so great.

Rotation 4

Hrudetska – FX – Ukraine – double pike, small step back – switch ring, good – split ring, lower – 2.5, leg crossing, into front step, step forward – leans through memmel turn – double tuck with step. 12.233

Acosta stumble back on beam double tuck but stays to her feet. 13.100

Heron goes for the handspring rudi on vault but she is currently on her hands and knees off the mat entirely, so that’s how it went.

Nemour – UB – Algeria – inbar full to Nemour 1/2 to yezhova to maloney to stalder full, loses form in the stalder full and breaks combo – stalder tkatchev piked to stalder shap 1/2 – DLO 1/1, a little low but somehow also stuck. Not her perfect one with the stalder full but will still be a huge number.

Ajalla – BB Argentina – bhs mount to loso to bhs, pretty – switch to splrit ring leap to bhs, wild and sudden major wobble because it looked fine initially, leans forward to try to save it and can’t, falls – switch ring, great feet but grabs the beam and ends up falling a second time as well. onodi is lovely but another huge wobble – gainer pike full, deep, stuck.

Can we get a do-over for Argentina today?

Kaylia doesn’t even bother to get a 15 on bars, going 14.933 with only a 7.1 D score. 1st place there.

55.999 AA for Nemour takes the lead over Blakely by about a half point. They were basically twinning through three events, and then Kaylia’s bars. Somehow vault went the best of the four events for Nemour today? At least compared to her potential standard.

Algeria goes into 10th place, just behind Romania, with Ukraine in 11th, and Argentina now in last (13th).

France headlines this session, with Colas, Prat, and Charpy all doing AA. Osyssek is on beam and floor and Serber is on vault and bars.

Weissenhofer – UB – LIE – maloney, good height, too much and no back swing, has to extra swing and then gets all kinds of messed up on her bail and falls onto the bars

Khalid – BB – Malaysia – switch ring is good – bhs loso, wobble, leg up – split and straddle and straddle 1/2 from side position – aerial, good leg extension – y spin – wolf to sissone – side aerial, hit – gainer tuck, step back.

France goes 40.266 on vault, with is a little more than 5 tenths behind the vault mark of Italy and .366 behind Germany’s vault.

Bohle – BB – Austria – bhs mount is hit – bhs loso, and falls – resumes with aerial – switch 1/2, secure, some back leg position – wolf double, around but a lean wobble forward – switch to split to wolf – side aerial, arm correction – layout full dmt, hop back

France goes 40.699 on bars, same as Germany, behind the pace of Italy/USA/Japan.

Colas – BB – France – switch mount to switch to straddle is strong – side aerial to loso series, hits with an arm check – wolf double, hit – switch 1/2, a little under split, connects comfortably to bhs – aerial, hit – double pike, larger lunge back but a strong one, will be a big number. 14.133 and into 4th for the moment. Ahead of Nemour on E score.

Prat – BB – France – loso to split jump, secure – longgggg pause before bhs loso loso series, wobble but keeps it on – switch to switch 1/2 to bhs, nice rhythm and split positions – side aerial to split ring jump, good lift, holds under control – wolf double, nice – side somi, solid – double tuck dmt, step back. Nice one. 13.900 is very strong.

Moerz – FX – Austria – front full through to double tuck, hop back – double L turn – DLO, hit, slight shuffle back, leg separation – switch wolg to tour jete 1/2, under split there – double arabian, never looked like she had it even in the ro bhs, short and sits it down – gets wolf triple around – double pike, hop back

Osyssek-Reimer – BB – France – switch mount to switch 1/2, small check – layout, no full, secure landing – aerial, little foot adjustment but good – switch, arm wave – side somi legs straight, good – arm wave wobble on choreo – full turn, holds it – side aerial, another check, these are adding up – split to wolf – double pike dmt, step back.

Great beam rotation for France. 13.666 for Ossysek. France goes 41.699, which is the top beam score for anyone so far. 2nd place not out of the question now with a strong floor rotation.

Colas – FX – France – whip full to double tuck, chest down, small hop, but solid – 2/1, small slide – switch ring to tour jete 1/2, lovely splits – front loso with some form, wrenches it into a double pike, to her feet but chest down and form – switch 1/2 – wolf triple around. Still gets 13.133, which is 4th.

Colas is into 3rd AA, behind Blakely ahead of Pease.

Prat – FX – France – double L turn, nice – back 1.5 through to double tuck, hit, hop back – switch ring to kind of her split ring leap full, but went really around the corner – front full to front full, stuck, some knee – split ring leap 1/2 – back 2.5, hop forward – wolf double, good.

Moerz – VT 1 – nicely done on handspring layout 1/2, big height, good layout position. 13.800

Moerz – VT 2 – Tsuk tuck full, chest forward, tries to hold onto landing, step. 12.600 for that one.

Longly long wait on the Prat score. Fujitsu is like, “cannot compute split ring leap turn, credit as onion bagel.”

Prat comes in with 13.300, into 3rd place behind the two Americans.
