2026 Worlds – Event Finals Day 1 Live Blog

We’ll have MAG floor and WAG vault, then a break for everyone to cry and get their colored circles, and then the remaining three event finals for the first day.

Intros for men’s floor, Sharamkou accidentally tried to watch right off the edge of the stage instead of using the stairs, so this final might actually be pretty clean. But he didn’t do it, so the augury might be murky.

Men’s Floor

Doi – Japan – triple double tucked, stuck, excellent – back 2.5 to double front, lands OOB with a slide back – 2.5 to side, hop forward – back 1.5 to randi, hop – scale – double double tucked, also stuck. 14.366

Berkovich – Israel – triple tuck, steps back OOB – back 1.5 to double front, another step forward OOB – 2.5 to front lay, hop – hitch kick – randi, bounce back – double pike, pretty open, but short landing with a stagger. 13.500

Richard – US – front full to double front pike, little hop – double double lay, little hop again – back 2.5 to lay, hop – DLO 1/1, some pike, another pause – FTDT, stuck. Simone and Casimir up in the crowd like, “I’ll allow it.” 14.633

Dolgopyat – Israel – double double lay, little hop – front to double front pike, leans through a stick-cover – double double tuck, a couple small bounces – back 2.5 to double front, small movement – arabian in 1/2 out, chest lower with a hop forward. 14.466

Tim said elegant but it sounded like Elliot. So now that’s what that is.

Sharamkou – WG1 Belarus – back 1.5 to double front, hop – double double lay, chest down and a little hop – whip to 2.5 side pass, nice stick – DLO 1/1, larger bounce back – double double tuck, bounce back. 14.000

Yulo – Philippines – back 2.5 to double front pike, little hop – eeesh front double full to double front, lands entirely OOB and sits it down – back 2.5 – DLO 1/1, nice position, hop back – DLO is perfect and stuck. 13.233

Dukhno – WG2 Russia – double double lay a little short with a hop – front 2/1 to double front, giant leaping bound forward OOB, most artistic part of the final – front full to randi, hop back – DLO 1/1, little hop back. 13.666

Jarman – GB – triple double layout, little hop – back 2.5 to double front, under with a bounce back – lunge on 3.5 side pass – triple double tucked, little hop – 3/1 side pass, larger bounce back – double double tuck final pass, little bounce. 14.600 goes into silver.

Have to mute Peacock when they get into the mode of ravenously counting non-American deductions.
