Press handstand clear pike

About
A separate category of the press handstand mounts, worth one tenth more, involves those mounts where a press handstand is performed and then followed by lowering into one of several prescribed positions, such as a planche or clear pike support (in the GIF above).

As a C element, the press-then-lower mount had some use in the 2006-2008 time when gymnasts had to count 10 skills and were therefore more likely to have a few of them be C skills—and this is a fairly low risk C element if you’re comfortable with it. But since it’s no more valuable than an element like a switch split, it’s not going to make sense in most routines.
