Along with the tucked version of this vault, the piked version without twisting is the one you’ll still see with some vague frequency in NCAA gymnastics because of its useful 10.0 start value, though it’s not at all common there either. But it happens sometimes, which is more than can be said for this vault in elite.

While the term Luconi refers specifically to the tucked version of this vault in the code of points, it is sometimes used as a catch-all term to refer to this round-off, full-on type of vault in general, so you will sometimes hear this one called a Luconi as well.
