Straddle Pak

Event
Uneven Bars

Skill type
Transition (high-to-low)

Known as
Straddle pak
Straddle roll to low bar

About
While its big sister, the Pak salto, currently enjoys a near ubiquitous presence in modern elite gymnastics, the straddled version of this transition is pretty much nowhere to be found owing to its C value. Because D-value high-to-low transitions are eligible for oodles of connection bonus when coming out of valuable releases on the high bar, C-value high-to-low transitions are not, rendering them pointless and unseen.

This skill is famously associated with Amy Chow, who is believed to have been the first to perform it in world competition, but as with everything Amy Chow ever did, a name assignment is missing from the code of points.
