About
It’s too much. Gymnasts got together and said that 1.5 turns in a tucked position on beam is just over the top and we’re not doing it.

The tuck jump 1.5 entered the code in the 2001 edition as a D element, was dropped down to C in 2006 when the open-ended code came into being, and then was upgraded back to D in 2013. If that was an attempt to make it a little bit more popular, it didn’t work. While mortals will look at a tuck jump and think it sounds like an easier position to reach than most things in gymnastics, gymnasts who can split will always opt for a split jump with less turning over a tucked jump with more turning.

Because gymnastics is a comedy, not a drama
