About
Paola Galante successfully stayed on the beam when performing the Y turn with 1.5 rotations at the 2009 World Championships in London to get it named after herself in the code of points.
At D (0.4), the turn is valuable, but basically every gymnast has looked at this turn and then looked at the equivalently valued double wolf turn and said, “Oh. Nope. The wolf one. I’m doing that one.” Most gymnasts would consider this turn just too challenging on beam to be worth it.
