In spite of having a backward takeoff, the double Arabian counts as a forward tumbling element because the direction of the flipping is forward (OK…). This makes it a more sought-after element during codes of points in which a forward tumbling pass is required, as it is in our current CoP. Like its cousin the double front, the double arabian is difficult to perform without cowboying and therefore difficult to make look good, though all the more satisfying when it does.

Arabian should always be capitalized when referring to this type of skill because it is a place name.
