Full-twisting double tuck
Double tuck 1/1
Elena Mukhina (SOV)
The full-twisting double tuck is an exceptionally common composition choice given its value as an E element, either as the opening and most difficult pass in a semi-under-powered routine (by elite standards), or as the closing and easiest pass in a super-powered routine. It’s a friend to any and all, the FTDT.
Most perform it as a full-in (with the twist occurring in the first salto), though others will perform it as a full-out (with the twist occurring in the second salto). For most, the full-out is considerably more difficult, though they are evaluated the same because ugh.
