The wolf jump 1/2 is a B element and therefore theoretically valuable as part of a combination for bonus, though it has not caught on. Because the tucked jump 1/2 turn is also a B and easier to manage than a wolf position most gymnasts looking for some B dance element to tack onto the combo are just going to do that one instead.
