The wolf jump with 1/2 turn is a B (0.2) element and therefore theoretically valuable for combination bonus, but it’s not really the direction gymnasts have chosen to go. Even those who are willing to (gasp) turn in a (gasp) non-split position will go for the equally valued tuck jump 1/2 without trying to bother with a straight leg.
There was a hot second when Morgan White technically had the wolf jump 1/2 from side position named after herself, but hers was always more of just…an under-rotated wolf jump full?
