Clear-Hip Front tuck/Pike, Stalder front Tuck (Plichta)

Uneven Bars

Skill type

Known as
Clear-hip front tuck/pike
Stalder front tuck

Named after
Paula Plichta (POL) – only the Stalder version of the skill

The dead giveaway that the code of points doesn’t really care so much about a skill is when it shoves a bunch of different elements into the same box and number and is just like, “Eh, these are the same.” Front tuck or pike, 1/2 turn or full turn, clear-hip or Stalder, yeah whatever, just like give it a C or something.

In recent years, while toe-on dismounts have retained their niche, the same cannot be said for clear-hip dismounts, which have become extremely rare.

The Plichta, which was named after Paula Plichta more recently in 2007, begins from a Stalder rather than from a clear-hip, the Stalder never catching on as an entry into these dismounts in the early days the way the toe-on and clear-hip did.
