About
It may surprise you to learn that this dismount is a thing in gymnastics. So…it is. As a C-rated dismount, and also super weird, it is almost never performed at an elite level, but it does get points for originality, and we have seen it within the last quad performed by Ana Derek. So it’s not a total ghost.
When this was originally submitted by Tanja Delladio at 2006 worlds, the entry into the skill mattered as was included as part of the description. So then Lia Parolari came along the next year with her own version of the skill, still dismounting with a back tuck but getting into the back tuck from an inbar circle instead of a cast handstand. Later, the WTC decided that the method of entry did not make it a different element as the entry was its own separate skill, removing the Parolari and giving the skill to Delladio because she was the first one. Even later, the skill was given to both of them together. Because world peace. Or because inconsistent precedent.
