The double front is the rarest of the difficult beam dismounts, an endangered species only occasionally glimpsed outside captivity, both because of its difficulty (to execute and to land) and because it is not eligible for connection value.

In the 2017 code of points, with the increased emphasis on connection value in beam dismounts, the double front becomes even less worthwhile because if you’re good enough to do a double front, you’re probably good enough to do a round-off + double Arabian for three additional tenths when taking into account skill value and connection bonus.
