Front pike mount
Whoa, a front pike mount!
Neither the front pike nor the front tuck are particularly common as beam mounts, though it’s interesting that both have been about as common as each other in recent years despite the front pike being harder. The extra tenth awarded for it has been deemed worth it for about half the people performing these mounts, which is about how it should be. I guess if you’re already taking the risk of performing a front salto, you might as well try to get credit for a pike. When in hell…
For the most part, however, people don’t do this because RISKY MOUNT. Risky mounts make you fall in the 2008 Olympic team final. Fact.
