Long the forgotten stepsister of the stalder shoot, the toe shoot has gained popularity in recent years because the stalder shoot was brought back down to size and downgraded to a B as well (having also been rendered unusable for connection value). The toe shoot is the easiest option for getting from the low bar to the high bar, particularly for gymnasts who have no intention of counting this skill anyway, and now that it’s the same value as the other shoots again…why do anything else.
