About
Ah, the flank mounts. In the great history of beam mounts that you ignored while waiting for the good stuff to start, the flank mount is one of the founding mothers. It’s an extremely popular choice particularly because it involves approximately zero risk. Even just jumping onto the beam for A (0.1) value involves leaving dry land for a moment, but in flank mounts, there’s always a hand on the beam for safety.

The flank mounts code box includes both the classic two-legged flank and the one-legged flank with 3/4 turn to sit on your thigh, which is perhaps more popular than the two-legged flank because of its sheer ease and safety.

You can also do the flank mount with 1/2 turn, but that really starts to defeat the purpose of the flank mount as being a no-risk way to start your routine.
