In 2023, this element was added back to the code of points after a two decade absence when it was submitted by Ana Barbosu at the European Championship. It is not officially named the Barbosu because elements must now be at least C value to receive a name, but apparently we were all clamoring for the hitch kick to come back.

Also the idea that a hitch kick was invented in 2023 is deeply funny.
